Group Piano Course to bring out the music in every young child
aged 4 to 6 years old.
Teaching materials are based on American piano pedagogy authored
by experienced and qualified Teachers, teaching piano and composition:
Christine H.Barden, Dr. Gayle Kowalchyk, E.L.Lancaster.
 Patience: The process of learning effective practicing develops patience more
so than one to one as young children have very short attention span.
 Friendships : Learning in groups provides opportunities for fostering
friendships, healthy competition and enjoyment in playing and dancing
together.
 Confidence and Poise : Performance in front of parents and other students
helps the child develop confidence and poise that is a useful life skill.
 Creativity and Self-Expression : Research has revealed that early exposure
to music helps improve cognitive development and memory through listening,
singing and seeing different musical and rhythmical patterns. It also provides
an avenue for communicating feelings and promoting imagination in young
children.
 Fun and Relaxation :Provide lots of fun and laughter to the children as
they sing and dance to music.
For Now, if there are a minimum of 2-3 pupils, lesson can be
conducted at your home if you have the following facilities:
1.A piano or keyboard. I will bring additonal portable keyboards.
2.A CD player.
3.A big enough space for some music and movement activities.
Timing is tentatively on weekdays 9am – 2 pm. When there is a
bigger group, Lesson can be conducted on Saturday.
Permanent venue will be at :
D’Nest Condominum, Pasir Ris Grove s518179
OR Blk 540 Pasir Ris Street 51 S510540
Fee is collected at the beginning of every term.
There will be 10 lessons in each term, either once or
twice a week (at your request).
2-3 pupils 45 mins $400 per term per pax
4-6 pupils 1 hour $350 per term per pax
7-8 pupils 1 hour $300 per term per pax
Duration : Approximately 2 year program (once
a week lesson)
Levels : A total of 4 levels (Pupils can opt to
take the individual lesson after the
2nd level depending on age group).
Each level will be completed by the
end of each term. (18-22 weeks)
Students : A min. of 2 pupils and a
per class max. of 8 pupils per class
Content will be based on the journey with Beethoven Bear and
Mozart Mouse.
Lessons will be conducted with the use of :
 CD or MIDI file disks to sing and dance along
 Ear Training includes Clapping of rhythm, pitch matching and
singing.
 Activities include creative movement through Dramatic Play,
Story telling in the context of composers and their work and life
history, note reading, colouring and learning of lyrics to a new
song.
 Musical Theory on Sticker Books and Workbooks.
The different activities will keep young children engaged and it is
highly effective in training beats, rhythm and note recognition
through play, movement and story telling.

Group Piano Lessons: Music for little mozarts
