6. VOCAL APPARATUS
IT´S FORMED BY SEVERAL ORGANS WHERE THE AIR IS TURNED INTO SOUND
Also known commonly as vocal
cords, are composed of twin
infoldings of mocous membrane
stretched horizontally across the
larynx. They vibrate, modulating the
flow of air being expelled from the
lungs during phonation.
VOCAL FOLDS LARINX
Commonly called the voice box, is an
organ in the neck of mammals
involved in protecting the trachea and
sound production. It manipulates
pitch and volume. The larynx houses
the vocal folds.
9. VOCAL RESONATORS
Voice sound is amplified and modified by the vocal tract resonators (the
throat, mouth cavity, and nasal passages). The resonators produce a
person's recognizable voice.
