The document describes the development of Titiwangsa Lake area in Kuala Lumpur from the 1970s to present. It discusses how the former tin mining land was transformed into a recreational park and urban development arose around it. Diagrams show the growth of infrastructure and buildings over time, from early residential areas to current high-rise developments. The document analyzes different zones in the area based on land use and user activities. It also examines two specific sites through observations of human behavior and case studies of precedents to inform future programming. The goal is to understand who the area is for now and propose programs that cater to different user groups in the community.
3. 70s
The tin-mining pool in Titiwangsa that lay dormant for years
leads to an expansion opportunity of the new land use. The
area was transformed into a recreational park during the
mid-70s. The dormant space is to support the urban
growth.
Jalan Tun Razak was then, the only major road leading to
the excavated lake as a service road.

Titiwangsa park serves for community that live within the proximity and surrounding Kuala Lumpur – that includes community from Kampung Baru, Pekeliling, Kampung Datuk Keramat, Sentul & Chow Kit.By accessing through Jalan Tun Razak, it proves that Titiwangsa park were initially provides for the community mentioned earlier since it was built way earlier than other two known park, Lake Garden and KLCC Park. These two parks are most unlikely were chosen the community itself due to density of tourists at the park.
The rise of infrastructure at Titiwangsa shows a great potential as a site for a community growth. The simplified vehicular roads as Jalan Tun Razak and LRT Titiwangsa station, and other transportation options brings out the character of Titiwangsa being as an accessible site. It proves that the architecture driven the community.

LANDSCAPE AND ENVIRONMENT
Meanwhile Visitor Center in Atapuerca is located at fossil humid area that almost contain no greenery, Site 1 in Titiwangsa is a huge contrast. However, both of the sites have a serious requirement in order to fit the visitor center, whereby each of them has a significant environment that shall be preserved.

FUNCTION AND SITE/EXISTING
Meanwhile Game & Recreation Center in Chile was used as an activated sport area such as swimming and football whereas the Site 4 in Titiwangsa was used to be a squash court. After lack of maintenance and abandon for years, the building in Site 4 and rebuilt to attract the nearby community to revive and activate the place again.
The design of the building focuses on making a positive contribution to the surroundings. The project gives back to the city the area it takes away by providing a public green rooftop.
A free form wooden roof resting on a glass box. The glass box consists of transparent glass walls and a playful concrete base that protects the building against the surrounding heavy traffic.
Transparent glass walls allow natural light to filter through during the day and transform the building into a glowing box at night, providing a special visual experience. The mood of the building keeps changing from day to night.
The interior space focuses on the function of the building with light and natural surfaces. The double story bicycle rack becomes the main element in the space.
