 To understand the pedagogy of teaching using
national heritage.
 To know your role as teachers as we embrace
national heritage.
 Assisting the achievements of vision 2030 from
heritage based teaching.
 To be ideologically and economically oriented and
active whilst we teach
Thought Provoking
 What is patriotism, should a teacher be patriotic?
 What is the link between patriotism/heritage and economic, scientific-technological
development?
 What is the nexus between civil servant and politics?
 What is political neutrality, politics partisan?
 Should teachers defend country’ sovereignty yet (God says Voparara nekushaya zivo) and
teachers give zivo (Banabas)
 Mother’s sovereignty lies in giving birth –Ndaka gomera.
 Mother before Solomon doesn’t allow perishing.
 If you are mother to your child, who is the mother to/of sovereignty.
 Your child/country cant be given in feud whilst biological mother is alive.
 A child given to wrong/surrogate mother is killed (Over my dead body mantra)

Introduction to National
Heritage
 Every country has its own historical, cultural heritage riallities (chimurenga
heritage) ‘Chimbetu- vakamirira Kubvongodza muto’ ‘kufunga nedumbu vachisiya
musoro’
 As teachers (civil servants) do you appreciate the gruesome experiences (wars
which brought Zimbabwe 1893,1896,1960s-80s.
 Heritage is worth dying/fighting for ‘huchi nemukaka hwacho’ tinoda Zimbabwe
nehupfumi hwayo. ‘history of crossing to Canaan from Egypt’ ‘converting people
to death at pungwe’.

 Teachers as administrators at assemblies doing pledge (Uk-passport).

-proud creators/participants of our vibrant cultures and traditions.
 Does a teacher call himself a murungu despise own culture, language, skin.
‘Leadership is spiritual’
 NB If leaders are installed by God he does that through the culture
and religion he gave those people whites started to scout their
puppet leadership from the students they taught theology (Reverent
Abel Muzoriwa, Sithole .....)
 Two religions at war (RF soldiers going to war blessed in western
churches to go and murder a Chimoio, Freedom Camp.
