1. ‘Blessed are the Claymakers’ Year 9 RE Mrs Horder, Mr Dumas, Mrs Finneran, MrsHayman and Mrs MacDougal
2.
3. “ Creative thinking is not a talent, it is a skill that can be learnt. It empowers people by adding strength to their natural abilities which improves teamwork and productivity…” Edward de Bono
6. Setup, Design and Planning Each group needs to use the student portfolio as a guide for what needs to be achieved (‘milestone’) Have a good understanding of the roles required for each project team eg. The ‘blogger’ for the day may also be responsible for another role. Everyone must take a turn at each activity
10. Let’s begin… Bring a mouse…it’s really useful. Have a practice – use a toy to animate
11. Recording the learning BLOG – Weebly Log on (Teacher provides group with username and p/wd) – this needs to be recorded by all members Select domain (name should reflect the project eg. www.Poorpeopleriseup.weebly.com Go onto page and Create a NEW blog Check portfolio grid for each blog post content
12. What makes a good BLOG entry Concise (short), straight to the point As blogs are date stamped, there must be a blog entry for every lesson spent on the project (you can’t blog at the last minute!!) Privacy Never disclose your fullname, location, sex, age or other private information indentifying you or others. When photographing things, be aware of people’s privacy (no faces, uniforms)
13. How Good is this Project! Consider Time Spending a period in class building your set may not be a wise use of the time (do it at home) Come to class ready to maximise time; shooting, editing and blogging. Check-in with the Portfolio guide – this contains milestones and when they’re due. Pride in your work Everyone will get an opportunity to see other people’s animations – make them GREAT!!
Editor's Notes
Creative Thinking Skills – Jesus often preached using Parables. Students will be taken through a series of lessons decoding the message behind a Parable highlighting that Jesus wanted to provoke thought and critical reflection about his message. Creative Thinking Skills were modeled by Jesus as a vehicle of expression. Communication and Collaboration Skills – Students will work in Project Teams of 4 to depict one Commandment and One Beatitude in a Stop Motion Animation sequence. Group roles will be clearly defined and articulated eg. ‘a set designer will be responsible for designing the set or stage for the animation to occur. They will need to deliver a suitable set which clearly reflects the design as per the script/storyboard by the desired date”.
A stop motion animated video of a Contemporary example of ONE Beatitude OR Commandment.A regular Blog entry recording the process (things which were successful, not successful and things still to do)
MyClasses page has resources which will enable your group to achieve their personal bestScreen videos, SMP userguide, Storyboard template– understanding about the sharing/distribution of roles.
It is important to recognise that many of these tasks can occur concurrently i.e two members may be brainstorming , whilst the other two members may be researching
