support hospital in Army and Miesau Army Depot, provide administrative, financial, and facility support to
300+ military personnel and their families, which includes pastoral and crisis intervention counseling. Plan,
coordinate, and direct interpersonal skills-building seminars for individuals, couples, and families, conducting

FORCE PROTECTION: Manage all protective measure which encompass writing and implementing
Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) that dealt with evacuation, shelter-in-place and lockdown procedures
for the Hospital Chaplain Office. Enforced organization’s security policies regarding restricted areas,
employees and visitors adhering to federal, state, and local laws.
RESOURCE ALLOCATION: Saved organization more than $80K in nonappropriated funds by writing grant
to Department of Army Chief of Chaplain Office and securing $150K in Strong Bonds funds. Manage four-
person staff, $60K budget, and professional resources to support military personnel and their families, with
special consideration given to pluralistic religious and spiritual practices and needs. Determine facilities
needed as well as requirements for equipment, materials, supplies, and security, and make those procurements

security, and made those procurements for ecclesiastical and worship services. Developed and implemented
strategic crisis intervention plans. Provided specialized peer counseling for combat stress issues. Honored
with Joint Service Achievement Medal for exceptionally meritorious service in Afghanistan: “Sgt. Jackson
successfully completed seven trips to 12 outlying forward operating bases (FOBs) with the chaplain, helping
to discern soldiers’ needs and concerns. As noncommissioned officer-in-charge, he also made thorough
preparation for 25 chapel and field services, created chapel standing operating procedures, duty rosters, and
effectively assisted with counseling. Sgt. Jackson assisted in 24 weekly briefings and five special events with
the utmost attention to details. Sgt. Jackson continued to assist the chaplain by consistently discerning the
mood of the battalion and faithfully reporting to the chaplain when he noticed individual or corporate morale

FORCE PROTECTION: At many Forward Operating Base (FOB), he provided security without hesitation
while in a mine resistant ambush protected vehicle, and found improvised explosive devices. Also, assisted in
conducting entry point access, vehicle searches, and random security checks aboard deployed military
installation encompassing 70K+ personnel. Enforced security procedures to prevent breaches of security.
