Literacy outcomes…a changing scene

• Учащиеся с кохлеарными имплантатами имеют разные, но
  в общем очень позитивные показатели
• Learners with cochlear implants show a variable but overall very positive shift (Geers, 2003;
  Geers & Hayes, 2011; Marschark et al., 2007, Marschark et al., 2010)

• Геерс и Хэйз (2011) обнаружили, что от 47 до 66% глухих
  учеников школьного возраста, которые получили КИ,
  показали нормальные результаты или выше по двум
  тестам (TORC and PIAT-R)
          –Только 17% имели результаты ниже, чем четвероклассники
          –36% получили баллы, как девятиклассники и выше
• Geers and Hayes (2011) found between 47% and 66% of high school age deaf students
  with CI’s scored within or above normal range on two tests (TORC and PIAT-R)
          –Only 17% below 4th grade level
          –36% at 9th grade level or higher
