Outside an airport terminal, a man in a uniform is holding a placard with a company name and
name of the person he is there to receive. There are several other men holding up individual
placards with other names.

A man walks out of the terminal and looks
around to find his escort. He spots the placard
with his name and raises his hand in
acknowledgement and starts walking towards
his escort.
When a message is relevant and expected, the
recipient is bound to take notice and interest.

holding a placard. Following is written on the
placards:

Hence, businesses today are focusing on using
email communication to address customer
needs through direct requests from them…

A customer holding a cereal box is standing
with her shopping cart in a cereal aisle of a
large supermarket. Clearly confused, she looks
at the cereal box in her hand and then at the
different brands of cereal boxes kept on the
shelf in front. She then extends her hand to
keep the cereal box back on the shelf.
And by tracking customer activity and
behavioral changes…
2. Just then an offer pops out from the rack -
50% off on your favorite cereal loaded with
50% more fruits now (offer valid for today
only). She smiles and keeps the cereal box in
her cart and walks out of the aisle.
To send them timely, tailored and relevant
information with attractive offers, which is
useful to them...
Zoom out, pushing the image to the
background. A hand with a pen circles the lady
and draws an arrow to it and writes “right
people” on the screen. It then circles the offer
pop-up and draws another arrow and writes
“+ right message”. It then circles the entire
image and draws an arrow and writes “+ right
timing = significant ROI”.
And good for the business…

to buy air tickets) is looking at flight
information updates on 2 different screens of
2 airlines. First screen of International jet is
showing “getting information”. The second
screen of Air International is showing “last few
seats available – counter closing in 20 mins.
Flight departure: 13:40”.
What happens when these much awaited

The status on first screen of International jet

Or worse, when they don’t get delivered at

The customer proceeds towards the Air

every customer action to maintain relevancy
of your communication…
Bottom half of the screen – To the left side of
the screen, a stash of cash is getting taller as
more dollar notes are being added with the
constant ticking of a clock on the right side. In
the space between, emails are being
exchanged by a mesh of uniformly spread
computers on a globe with a computer that is
centrally located on the same globe (showing
complexity).
And managing the complexities of an email
delivery infrastructure will significantly
increase your cost and take away your focus
from your core business objectives.
4. Zoom into the main computer screen, which is
showing a real time status of sent and
delivered emails. Sent mail shows 10 but
delivered mails show only 4.
And your customers still may not receive all
your email communications.
-Cut to- (Introducing X as solution)
Illustration VO
Zoom in towards one of the emails. A Falcon
suddenly picks up the mail and flies away with
it and goes and settles on a cloud. The entire
thing then turns into X logo.
Instead, switch to a robust cloud based email
delivery engine, X, to effortlessly deliver
relevant emails to your customers based on
predetermined rules…
And eliminate the need to create and manage
your own email delivery infrastructure.

A bunch of mails is dropped on a conveyor belt
supervised by a man wearing a star badge
marked with RELIABILITY and REPUTATION
– assured delivery. The emails go through the
following blocks on the conveyor belt: ISP
monitoring, checking Feedback loop,
Assigning dedicated IP address, checking
email reputation, Authenticating email. The
first mail stamped authentic/verified comes
out of the last block, and onto a semicircular
IP reputation meter, placed visibly in front.
The meter “reading” moves from 0 mark on
the extreme left to excellent on the extreme
right on the meter.
X offers reliability…
By taking care of all essential measures like ISP
monitoring, feedback loop monitoring,
assigning dedicated IP addresses, email
reputation monitoring and email
authentication…
Once the mails, with the word
authentic/verified stamped on them, comes
out of the last block, the man picks them and
passes them from behind a computer. The
mails appear in an inbox showing on the
computer screen in front. There is a visible
clock that strikes 9 (am) as soon as the first
mail appears in the inbox (here you can play a
sound to bring attention to the clock timing).

the email and extends one hand to switch on a
table lamp and his other hand to pick up a full
glass of water to drink.
Simultaneously the screen contracts towards
left, to half its size.
Right screen: An employee sitting in his
cubicle. His back facing the viewers. In front
we see a label on a notice board that reads
“Sales team” and his computer screen with
some sales report.
Just then a large pop up appears that says:
“Message from X server – XYZ opened monthly
catalogue sign up confirmation email just
now.” (The table lamp lights up on the left
screen to show the response time)…
The sales person then clicks on a tab on the
same pop up that says “send a thank you note
with this month’s catalogue”.
Right screen fades away.
The consumer has just finished drinking one-
fourth (this is to show how fast the response
email arrives) of the water in the glass when
another email notification pops up on his
screen. The subject of this email – “Thank you;
here is your copy of our present month’s
catalogue.” He also receives the same message
on his phone, which is visibly kept on his desk.
The screen again contracts towards the left
and the right screen with the sales man
appears.
A pop up on his screen appears that says –
Customer opened the new catalogue.
This simple X feature, called Webhooks, is
designed to enable you to pursue your
customer with timely and appropriate follow-
up email communication.

an example)

Clear the computer screen. A block appears
with the word Triggerware written on it.
Another X feature is so evolved, that in
addition to responding to direct customer
requests, you can now send out relevant
communication based on individual customer
actions…
7. On the left of the computer screen, following
appears in 2 separate blocks in a column.
Abandoned cart with a visible pair of jeans.
15 days since customer purchased a book.
An arrow from each block extends towards
the triggerware block.
On the right side of the triggerware block the
following appears in the form of an email
notification on the end user’s computer
screen
Notification:
Customer X abandoned a cart with a pair
of jeans.
It has been 15 days since customer Y
purchased a book.
For e.g., now when a customer doesn’t make
a purchase after selecting an item…
Or had purchased an item many days ago…
This advance X feature, called Triggerware,
will not only notify you…
We zoom into the triggerware block and see a
list of rules: X server response rules
Schedule cart abandonment email after 24
hours of non-purchase, with applicable
offers for the particular items.
Send list of new arrivals after 15 days of
purchase of any book.
As the second rule appears, an arrow now
extends in the opposite direction towards the
2nd
customer action block. A mail with the
subject “new arrivals” flies simultaneously as
the arrow extends.
But will also automatically send out relevant
communication to the customers, as per
predetermined delivery rules…
Another email notification appears on the end
user’s computer screen on the right of the
triggerware block. Again an arrow extends
towards the end user’s PC screen to show the
passing of information. Notification: X
successfully responded to 2 customers.
You will also receive an immediate notification
once it is all done.

Despite offering such advanced features, X
actually demands very less of your valuable
time, by automating the entire process of
email delivery.
8. on each channel. In the first channel, a couple
of mails, marked with subject lines like
“money transfer confirmation” for Mr. Ashish
Roy and “shipping confirmation” for Mr.
Suresh Patil, are noticeably moving through
the channel.
In the second channel, a couple of mails,
marked with “anniversary greetings” (highlight
the date) for Mr. and Mrs. Singh and an
“annual event (seminar) invitation” for Ms.
Meghana Sathe, are noticeably moving
through the channel.
The mails continuously come out of the
“sorting room” and settles on a cloud. As the
emails continuously pour in, the cloud
expands to fit the growing number of emails
simultaneously.
And if due to the growing effectiveness of
your email communication, you decide to
increase your email volumes…
Being a cloud based delivery engine, X will
easily scale to manage delivery of your
growing volumes of email.
