It symbolizes evergreen life and
ongoing continuous growth!
It is simple, playful and happy!
Kindergarten Jelka
is public preschool upbringing educational organisation
with primary goal to provide and to take care of child's foundational needs and wellbeing.
Kindergarten Jelka operates in five units:
• Main unit Jelka with kindergarten's
management is located in Glavarjeva street.
The unit operates is four parts:
• Green part: 2 Nursery groups of children in
age from 1 to 3 years of age
• Yellow part: 3 Nursery groups of children in
age from 1 to 3 years of age
• Blue part: 4 groups of children in age 2 to
5.
• Orange part: 4 groups of children in age
from 3 to 6 - school admission.
• Is dislocated part of Jelka unit and is located in
School building
This is a unit with:
• 2 nursery groups of children up to 3 years old.
• 1 heterogeneous group of children in age from 3 to
6 years old children.
• Unit Vila is located in Staničeva street
• It is an old villa house redecorated into a
kindergarten
• This is a unit with: 4 groups of children from 2 to
their school admission
• Unit has a nice fruit and vegetable garden and
playground with a swimming pool that comes
very useful at summer time
• This unit is part of ECO SCHOOL project
• All groups of children in this unit are conducting
step by step program.
• Unit Snow white located in Vodovodna street
• in ground floor of skayscraper and has a playground
infront.
This is a unit with
• 2 nursery groups of children up to 3 years old
• 2 groups of children from age 3 to
their school admission
• Unit Dwarfs is located in Lavričeva street
This is a unit with:
• 2 nursery groups of children up to 3 years old
• 3 groups of children from age 3 to their school
admission
• All groups of children in this unit are conducting
step by step program.
• This unit has a very nice playground.
ORGANISATION
 Kindergarten is open from 6.00 in the morning
till 17.00 in the afternoon each working day
from Monday to Friday.
 Each group of children has a preschool teacher
and preschool teacher’s assistant. They plan,
organise and offer children playfully prepared
activities based on thematic they are working on
accordingly to the Curriculum for kindergartens.
 Playrooms are equipped with playing corners
where children can play and learn.

o 8.30 Breakfast
o 9.00 – 12.30 Educational playfully
arranged activities for all area of
preschool curriculum education;
morning circle, playing corners, outdoor
play, trips and visits…
o 12.30 Lunch time
o 13.00 resting time, afternoon activities,
o 14.30 afternoon snack time
o Till 17.00free play and going home
o 17.00 closing time
KINDERGARTEN’S PROGRAM
• Basic program offered in our
kindergarten is daily program that
lasts from 6 to 9 hours..
• We are performing daily program that
includes education, nursering,
upbringing and nutrition for children
from 1 to 6 years of age.
• We organise preschool upbringing
education based on Preschool
Curriculum for
o First oldness period –NURSERY ;
children up to age of three
o Second oldness period; children
from three to their school
admission
• Children are arranged based to their
age into HOMOGENEOUS and
HETEROGENEOUS groups.
• In our regular groups of children we
have interacted children with special
needs that are provided with special
care.
CURRICULUM FOR KINDERGARTENS
• is a base for all educational and upbringing work in
kindergarten.
• is national document adopted in 1999.
Program goals and starting points:
• Varied and diverse offer of contents and activities
in all area of preschool education
• consideration of child’s developmental period of
age
• consideration of children’s individual development
and learning differences
• consideration and respect for children privacy and
intimacy
• flexibility in space and time organization of life
and work in kindergarten
• development and growth of positive interaction
between children and adults in kindergarten
• cooperation with parents , presenting parents
with contents of activities in the child’s group
• cooperation with environment
CURRICULUM FOR KINDERGARTENS
Curriculum for kindergartens contains and presents
 Aims, goals and principals of preschool
kindergarten’s education,
 basics knowledge about children development
and learning in preschool period
 global goals its derivation goals for each area of
preschool educational activities.
Main areas of preschool educational activities in
kindergarten:
• MOVEMENT
• LANGUAGE
• ART
• SOCIETY
• NATURE
• MATHEMATIC
• We offer opportunities for optimal development
for children.
• We provide equal opportunities for every child
irrespective to their gender, social and cultural
origins, religion or nationality. We appreciate their
individual needs and capability.
• Our fundamental task is to provide quality
upbringing, education , guardianship and nutrition
for children till their school admission and to
provide assistance for parents with whole care for
their children.
• Educational and upbringing activities are adapted and preformed in
way to suit children age and progress and to stimulate their
development.
• In our program we take special care to satisfy all children’s needs,
interests and to stimulate development of their potentials and their
self-confidence.

children for their future.

  • 6. • Unit Vila is located in Staničeva street • It is an old villa house redecorated into a kindergarten • This is a unit with: 4 groups of children from 2 to their school admission • Unit has a nice fruit and vegetable garden and playground with a swimming pool that comes very useful at summer time • This unit is part of ECO SCHOOL project • All groups of children in this unit are conducting step by step program.
  • 7. • Unit Snow white located in Vodovodna street • in ground floor of skayscraper and has a playground infront. This is a unit with • 2 nursery groups of children up to 3 years old • 2 groups of children from age 3 to their school admission
  • 8. • Unit Dwarfs is located in Lavričeva street This is a unit with: • 2 nursery groups of children up to 3 years old • 3 groups of children from age 3 to their school admission • All groups of children in this unit are conducting step by step program. • This unit has a very nice playground.

ORGANISATION  Kindergarten is open from 6.00 in the morning till 17.00 in the afternoon each working day from Monday to Friday.  Each group of children has a preschool teacher and preschool teacher’s assistant. They plan, organise and offer children playfully prepared activities based on thematic they are working on accordingly to the Curriculum for kindergartens.  Playrooms are equipped with playing corners where children can play and learn. KINDERGARTEN’S PROGRAM • Basic program offered in our kindergarten is daily program that lasts from 6 to 9 hours.. • We are performing daily program that includes education, nursering, upbringing and nutrition for children from 1 to 6 years of age. • We organise preschool upbringing education based on Preschool Curriculum for o First oldness period –NURSERY ; children up to age of three o Second oldness period; children from three to their school admission • Children are arranged based to their age into HOMOGENEOUS and HETEROGENEOUS groups. • In our regular groups of children we have interacted children with special needs that are provided with special care.
