Monty Al Dawood Professor Hester English 102-006 Evaluation paper Central Washington University (CWU): my ultimate destination Living in the beautiful city of Jordan I completed my bachelor’s degree in law. However, this did not fulfil my quest for knowledge and I started finding avenues for further learning. My exploration took me to seek different subjects like English, Mathematics, Accounting Geography, Art, Music, Business Management etc. When I could not make up my mind I settled onto shifting to USA for better prospects. English conversation was a big drawback in this move, but watching lots of English movies and fellow students helped me overcome it. I choseCWU as my final destination for many reasons. All schools and colleges have innumerable students pursuing many fields. When they succeed in their goals, become rich and famous, it is a proud moment for the alma-mater. Similarly this university has created and nurtured many famous personalities in various fields. Giovonne Woods, famous basket ball player, Jamie Nilsen, one of the few persons qualified to drive an unlimited hydro plane, Carol Smoots, successful attorney in Energy Law, Mike Wells the famous sports journalist to name a few. When CWU sky is glittering with these stars, it not only boosts my confidence, it also motivates me to give my best to my dreams being a part of CWU family. They must also be good listeners, able to follow complex testimony or to understand and analyze the key elements of the case. A lot of time is spent conducting research, preparing documents and interviewing witnesses. They must stayabreast of frequent changes to the law. Poor communication skills lead to misunderstanding and can cause a breakdown in the lawyer's case. Keeping in mind the above factors, CWU was heaven’s paradise in mastering good language skills. The faculty at the college is another feather in the cap for this esteemed institution. Teachers here are not just soundly equipped with their qualifications, but are also engaged in various research activities. Most of them have authoredbooks, writtenbook reviews, conference papers, lectures, publishedarticles for the benefit of the society in leading magazines. They are members of many world-renowned organisations serving humanity. Their helpfulness, fairness a ...
