▪ Position:programs officer:
▪ Work with Area Managers, Field Officers and AJACS partners to develop their
program ideas and work plans for approved activities.
▪ Support and coordinate with partners as needed to ensure that program
implementation is on schedule and that partners adhere to Program and AJACS
donor regulations and guidelines.
▪ Monitor partner program budgets and expenditures during and after activity
implementation; identify the need for budget amendments and create draft
amendments for the Area Manager to review.
▪ Manage AJACS-sponsored workshops; coordinate the arrival of participants,
manage support staff, ensure that workshop events and training sessions remain
on schedule, plan and execute group activities, and oversee the proper
documentation of all cash payments.
▪ Complete all cash payment accounting and submit invoices/receipts to Finance
within 72 hours of a workshop’s end date.
▪ Support the recruitment of additional FOs; collect and review CVs, gather
background information, mentor and support capacity building of FOs; support
the implementation of work plans.
▪ Responsible for equipment storage and distributions; conduct equipment
inventories upon delivery, document serial numbers, create equipment handover
sheets, and ensure that recipients sign for each piece of equipment they receive.
▪ Support other AJACS staff in managing programmatic implementation, as
needed.
▪ Conduct site visits to partner locations to troubleshoot problems and ensure
activity follow up, as security conditions allow.
▪ Communicate with local partners on reporting, monitoring and evaluation of
activity implementation; results and other possible follow up activities.
