INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
The Department of Correctional Services is contributing towards skills development by
providing opportunities to gain work experience in various skills areas. It is therefore
inviting applications for an Internship Programme that would run for a period of twelve
(12) months.
Interns will be placed nationally within the Department of Correctional Services (Head
Office, Regions or Provinces and Management Areas). It is required that candidates
would have their own accommodation and transport, DCS will only pay a monthly
allowance.

Requirements: Applications must be graduates in any one of the fields specified below
and must be at least 18 to 35 years old. Successful interns will be expected to sign an
Internship Agreement.

2. Application forms are obtainable from Correctional Services Centres, Regional Offices
and National Office, and are also obtainable from this website: www.dcs.gov.za and
should be accompanied by certified copies of qualifications and ID. Faxed or E- mailed
applications will not be considered.
