2. Plate: Milanesa with rice
1. How many items on your plate contain processed sugar?
. In a package of 100g of bread crumbs, 6g are of sugar
.Meal do not have sugar
.In a package of 100g of rice, 0,1g are of sugar
GOALS: We think that the number 3 is according to this because is important the amount of sugar
we eat.
3. 2. How many items of plastic packaging were the ingredients of your meal wrapped in?
The rice came in differents packages, like plastic or paperboard
and the meat can come in plastic bags or in trays of tergopol. The bread crumbs come in bags of plastic.
The plastic bags contaminate the ocean and affects the animals that live there. It also make global
warming and it takes lots of years to decompose.
The global goals that are affected by this are the 6 (clean water and sanitation), 13 (climate action), 14
(life below water) and the 15 (life on land).
GOALS: For this question the goals that are according to this are the 13-14-15 because plastic is bad to the
planet.
4. 3. How much food was thrown away from your plate ?
We ate all the plate, we did not throw away anything.
GOALS: For this question the best goal is the number 2 because we have to take
advantage of the food because there are some who do not have the opportunity to
eat it.
5. 4.How many items on your plate come from your own country?
The meat and the bread crumbs are from Argentina and the rice too.
GOALS: For this question the best goal for us is the 11 because it is about the
country and the cities.
6. 5.How many items on your plate come from your own country?
Nina:I bought the meat on a butcher shop and the bread crumbs and the rice at Disco.
Juana: I bought the meat, bread crumbs and the rice on Disco.
-Disco is an Argentine chain of supermarkets but it belongs to a Chilean group.
-It is a very large company that is all around the country.
GOALS:For this question we choose the goals 8-9-11 because it has to be with industries and economic
growth for Disco.
7. QUESTIONS:
1) Can we collect all the plastic?
No because there are so many to collect them even in years.
2) What about all the plastic in the ocean?
No because of the same reason, there is too much as to collect it all.
3) What effects can the chemicals in plastics have on your body?
-Direct toxicity, as in the cases of lead, cadmium, and mercury
-Carcinogens, as in the case of diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP)
-Endocrine disruption, which can lead to cancers, birth defects, immune system suppression and
developmental problems in children.

8. QUESTIONS:
1-Investigate the environmental problem: PLASTIC POLLUTION. Where do plastic end?
-Plastic end in islands and underwater, the island with most plastic pollution is the Pacific Island, and
the ocean with more plastic pollution is Greater Pacific Ocean(Where do plastic end?)
-Educating and mobilizing citizens across the globe to demand action from governments and
corporations to control and diminish plastic pollution (Solution)
-The animals surfer a lot with this pollution. Most of them eat the plastics thinking it is food, and they
end dieing.

9. CAUSES OF THE PLASTIC POLLUTION:
-Plain Old Trash:Plastic is everywhere, even on those items you may not expect it to be.Every time one of
these items gets thrown away or washed down a sink, the toxic pollutants have more of a chance to enter the
environment and do harm.
Trash dumps and landfills are unfortunate major problems, as they allow pollutants to enter the ground and
affect wildlife and groundwater for years to come.
-It is Overused: Plastic is less expensive so people unfortunately use it more frequently
-Fishing Nets:Commercial fishing is an economic necessity for many parts of the world, and tons of people
eat fish for their daily survival. However, this industry has helped contribute to the problem of plastics pollution
in the oceans in several ways. The nets used for certain large-scale trolling operations are usually made of
plastic.
-Disposing of Plastic and Garbage:Plastic is meant to last, it is nearly impossible to break down. Burning
plastic is incredibly toxic, and can lead to harmful atmospheric conditions and deadly illness. Therefore, if it is in
a landfill, it will never stop releasing toxins in that area.
Even recycling doesn’t cut down on plastic.
10. EFFECTS OF THE PLASTIC POLLUTION:
-It Upsets the Food Chain:This can cause a whole slew of problems, each step further along the food chain.
Plus, it means that plastic are present in the fish that many people eat everyday.
-Groundwater Pollution: Water animals died because they eat or suffocate, and also affects us because the
fishes we fish and that then we ate are contaminated with this pollution.
-Land Pollution: Land animals accidentally eat plastic pollution and died, this affects us because we ate
animals that are contaminated.
-Air Pollution: This affects to every single living beings because we all breathe air and if this is
contaminated we are contaminated to
