 In 1902 George Draper Dayton created Dayton Dry Goods
  Company, today known as Target Corporation.

 Started in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

 First expansion in Rochester, Minnesota.

 Aim for good quality at a low price.

 Ronald Reagan awards Dayton-Hudson Foundation Arts and
  Humanities Medal of Honor for its giving back to the community
  in 1983.

 Target is open in 49 states, every state but Vermont.
 "Success is making ourselves useful in the world,
  valuable to society, helping in lifting in the level of
  humanity, so conducting ourselves that when we go
  the world will be somewhat better of our having lived
  the brief span of our lives.‖

 1918 The Dayton Foundation was started, promotes
  the welfare of mankind anywhere in the world.

 Now known as the Target Foundation.
―Crazy Target Lady,‖ the woman that
 appears in Target’s Black Friday ads.

Target promotes a 2 day sale when
 most other stores only do 1 day.

These ads are humorous and a spoof
 on the current ―extreme couponing‖
 trend.
