admissions and over 40,000 outpatient visits a month.
Solution Framework
Hexaware developed Stocktake and Ward Top applications for the Pharmacy department. The Challenge
These applications were developed on Symbol devices No prior experience in Satellite forms
They were mainly operated in a non-wireless mode and data was synchronized with the Test environment could not be
desktops using cradles installed in various locations in the ward and stores simulated as per the live environment

Hexaware Approach
The pharmacy store handheld application is used for year-end stocktaking using PalmOS based
devices. This engagement involved following activities:
Pharmacy store - Inventory module that manages pharmacy items. Stocktake is a function of
the module to process physical stock count and stock adjustment. A database has been
developed to interface handheld device with the inventory module
Procedure Details - Pharmacy module creates Pharmacy TopUp list in SAP, downloads it into
the database and uploads it into the handheld device by location
WARD ITEM TOP UP - Pharmacy Store to use an external application to receive and send
data from / to SAP inventory module via handheld devices
