Learning Activity #2
Hockey HORSE
1) have students pair up by two's.
2) Each pair will take their equipment (sticks, puck, and cone) to their
own area. Students decide who will shoot first.
3) Partner #1 chooses a place away from the cone from which to stand
and strike the object of their choice
4) If partner #1 hits the cone, then partner #2 must stand exactly
where the first partner stood and also shoot to the cone.
15 mins
5) If partner #2 hits the cone, then it is his/her turn to choose a new spot
from which to aim toward the target.
6) If the target is missed, however, he/she gets an "H", and partner #1
again gets to choose the spot from which to shoot.
7) The activity continues until one person spells each letter of the word
"HORSE". The students can then start another game.

around so that everyone gets a turn and share roles/equipment)
Jack Frost Tag
Learning Activity #3
1. Choose one student to be Jack Frost, and two students to be snow
angels who carry hand warmers (beanbag)
2. When the activity begins Jack attempts to tag people by walking first
(all of the students do the same locomotor movement) and then the
teacher can add other locomotor movements like skipping, sliding,
10 mins
etc. When Jack tags someone they become frozen snowmen. To get
unfrozen a snow angel must give them a hand warmer. Once a
person (snowman) is unfrozen, they become a snow angel and the
person who gave them the warmer can now get tagged. Snow angels
can't be tagged by Jack Frost.
