- 1. LESSON PLANSchool : SMP Negeri 3 SurabayaSubject : MathematicsGrade/Semester : IX/1Time : 4 x 40 minutes (2 meetings)A. Standard Competency2. Understanding the properties of cylinder, cone and sphere and determiningits sizeB. Basic Competency2.2 Calculating the surface area and volume of cylinder, cone, and sphereC. Indicator1. Find the formula of surface area of cylinder cone and sphere2. Solve the problems related to the surface area of cylinder, cone and sphereD. Learning ObjectiveFirst meeting1. Students are able to find the formula of surface area of cylinder and cone2. Given some problems related to the surface area of cylinder and cone, thestudents are able to solve the problems correctly.Second meeting3. Students are able to find the formula of surface area of sphere4. Given some problems related to the surface area of sphere, the students areable to solve the problems correctly.E. MaterialFirst meetingThe surface area of cylinder and coneSecond meetingThe surface area of sphereF. Learning ModelFirst meetingCooperative Learning (GI)
- 2. Second meetingCooperative Learning (GI)G.Learning ActivityFirst meetingIntroduction (± 5 minutes)(Phase 1: Clarify goals and establish set)1. Teacher generally presents the learning objective that is finding the formulaof surface area of cylinder and cone2. Apperception: Leads the students to recall the material that had beenlearned before and correspond with the material that will be discussed suchas the area of rectangle and circle.3. Motivation: Motivates the students by relating the material that beingdiscussed with real life situation, for example:Main Activities (± 60 minutes)(Phase 2: Present information)4. Teacher reminds students about the area of rectangle and circle and cylinderand cone net. Then, the teacher tells to students that they are going to findthe formula of surface area of cylinder and cone.(Phase 3. Organize students into learning teams)5. Teacher divides the class into 5 heterogenic groups.6. Teacher gives a worksheet to each group and asks them to do theworksheet.7. Teacher tells the students that after doing the worksheet they have topresent their work in front of the class.(Phase 4. Assist teamwork and study)8. Teacher assists each group as they do their worksheet.9. One of each groups presenting and explaining their group report and somestudent in other groups give comment to it10. The students and the teacher discuss about the right answer11. The teacher asks to the students about the first problem solving12. The students answer problems by their own ways(Phase 5. Test on the materials.)
- 3. 13. Teacher give a quiz to students to check students understandingClosure (± 15 minutes)(Phase 6: Provide recognition)14. Teacher gives feedback and appreciates the result of every group.15. Teacher gives a reward to the best group that has the best score.16. Teacher give home work to the students.Second meetingIntroduction (± 5 minutes)(Phase 1: Clarify goals and establish set)1.
