Designers have been working with the NHS on
various promotional material to communicate
messages and information to the public.

9. You are a Graphic designer who has been asked by St Albans City Council to
design a Poster (or series) to promote safety in St Albans
during the Summer period. They would like you to design a poster with a strap
line (title):
‘Be Alert and Stay safe this summer in St Albans’.
You can use any software that you have available, so we would suggest
PowerPoint, Word or if you are lucky enough to have Photoshop or some thing
similar.
10. 1. Finished Poster uploaded – we
will print and mount them in
September.
2. Screen shots, showing HOW you
have made your poster. Again,
there will be an opportunity to
print and mount them in
September.
11. 1. Your OWN Photograph taken during lock down. This
might be a small image used on your poster or
incorporated into your background (You can use the
colour correction tools in PowerPoint to fade your
images and put text on top).
2. Strap Line: ‘Be Alert and Stay Safe this Summer in St
Albans’.
3. Logos: You can down load and insert the
Governments ‘Stay Alert’ banner, the NHS Urgent
Appeal Logo, and the St Albans City Council Logo.
4. Any other additional text that you would like to
include.
5. Think about your TARGET AUDIENCE – Who is your
poster aimed at? Young people such as teenagers,
families? Vulnerable People?. It’s up to you, and may
be determined by the tye of photograph you select
Make your Poster look as professional’ as you can. Don’t
forget to SAVE all of your screenshots as you wll need to
print these as well, when we return to school.
