2. The 1970s Began with a continuation of the mini skirts,
bell-bottoms, and the hippie look from the late 1960s.

capes, military surplus clothing, ankle-length dresses.
For men included bell bottom jeans, matching outfits,
flannel shirts, pleated pants and baseball jackets.

3. By the mid 1970s, the hippie look had completely disappeared however saw
the birth of the indifferent, anti-conformist approach to fashion, which
consisted of sweaters, t-shirts, jeans, and sneakers. Around 1976, casual
fashion adopted a Parisian peasant look. This included capes,
turbans, puffy skirts and shirts with billowing sleeves. Starting
in 1975, women's semi-formal wear became more tailored and
sharp including pinstriped pantsuits. Men's punk fashion
generally consisted of ripped clothes, black turtlenecks,
drainpipe jeans, tight leather pants, leather jackets and Doc
Martins.
4. By 1977, pants were only flared slightly and sometimes not
flared at all and fashion became more baggy. During this time
I became fashion able to have more skin showing, in result of
this people un buttoned shirts and had sleeves rolled up. In
1978 the style became curvier with shoulder pads, tighter
skirts, and narrower waistlines. Men's punk fashion generally

5. Many changes, events, and attitudes defined the 1970s. In fact, 70s culture was by the end of
the decade – far different than that of the previous decade, when the hippie culture dominated
the scene, especially in the US.
One change that made a huge impact on 70s culture was the growth of women’s rights. As the
60s became the 70s, women were making their way out of the kitchen and into the workplace.
Music was also a huge part of 70s culture. The Rock and Roll genre that took the 60s by storm
continued to burgeon and had a great influence on the youth of the decade.

subcultures were in a process of transformation.
- The skinhead subculture from the late 1960s
continued into the 1970s, and some skinheads

post-punk mod revival, inspired by The Jam
and the British film Quadrophenia.

to the mean of cutting manufacturing cost. The music would either be on
a 7inch 10 inch 12inch. To use a vinyl people would have to a lot have
