Group Coursework (April 2016)
Report requirement and deadlines :
1) This is a group work type of assignment. Choose your own group that consists of
THREE (3) members except instruction given to certain group member only.
2) Each group need to complete the following topics as per question requirement.
(Answer ALL question components)
3) Paper – A4 size paper
4) Font size – 12 point (Times Roman)
5) Spacing – 1.5 factor
6) Scan Photographs and documents certificate as and when necessary.
7) References to information and statement.
8) Completed Assignment to be submitted at week 14 (last lecture class) between 6:00
pm to 7:00pm at Lecture Room.
9) Late submission subject to 10% marks deduction from total marks per day as penalty.

2. Assignment Questions :
(A) Building and their facilities (50%)
Prepare the following refer to all building (completed with CF) listed below in a report
format which refer to ONE (1) project building each below with the property name and
location, the view of subject property photographs, the location map, the features
design information, its existing facilities (with relevant photographs) and its
management status (Developer / JMB / MC / COB). Location to be determined : Puchong,
Cheras, Shah Alam, Serdang-Kajang, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Kuala Lumpur. (Each
group will be balloting for ONE AREA listed.)
a) 2 storey Shop-office terrace (excluded mixed development).
b) Apartment or condominium (perimeter fencing on One plot of land) – more than 1,500
units accommodation.
c) 2 storey link Townhouse with separate frontage drive way entrance.
d) Petrol station with 10 pumps and above & attached with fast food restaurant.
e) One (1) Semi Detached Factory & One(1) Bungalow factory (more than 6 acres land)
(B) 50% - Case study & Assessment
1)Case Study (20%) – Refer to location Assigned to Group
Students are require to conduct an actual site study on swimming pool included the
operation system, design layout, sketch drawings / plans and its relevant components.
You are required to provide brief guidelines in your report. (Details specification not
required).
2) Assessment Questions (30%)
1.5 hours – 3 questions
Important Note:
Students are require to obtain relevant authorities or building management approval for inspection and
taking photographs before entering private or public properties. Safety precaution and self-equipment
protection must be alert and obtain advice. Please read all notices and warnings signage display before
proceed to any inspection and advisable to be accompany by expects personnel or technician from
building management with written instruction and approval. University will not responsible to any
accidents occurred to students of the faculty.
