ROLE PURPOSE
Department Purpose
Develop, implement and manage the Quality strategy, policies and procedures for the company,
ensuring compliance, reputational enhancement and a minimised quality risk profile for the
operation. Minimised injuries and potential financial and reputational losses through identifying,
assessing and mitigating risk.
Role Purpose
The Quality Coordinator assists with implementation of the QMS and supports sites to achieve and
maintain a high standard of workmanship. The incumbent provides expert advice and conducts site
inspections, snagging and audits, and coordinates or delivers regular training. The Quality
Coordinator ensures contractual and legislative compliance, identifies and mitigates risk and
contributes to attaining and maintaining ISO 9000 certification.

Reports on quality of site branding, hoarding, accommodation and
house-keeping and assists where required
Follows procedures to ensure the early identification of risk and
escalates immediately
Validates quality processes by sourcing from supplier’s product
specifications and quality attributes
Supports the development and maintenance of a customer-focused,
zero error culture within the organisation
Contributes to achieving and/ or maintaining ISO 9000 certification

Functions as a subject matter expert
Acts as an advisor and provides astute recommendations where
applicable to clients, colleagues, subcontractors and senior
management
Maintains up to date professional and technical knowledge and
keeps abreast of industry trends
Monitors legislation and identifies issues and requirements
applicable to the business - identifies which legislative requirements/
standard will affect which processes of each business unit
Interprets and translates client and regulatory requirements and
benchmark
Assists site teams to understand and enforce standards, codes,
regulations and best practice
Communicates with client representative regarding quality issues if
required, ensuring relationships are constructive and cooperative
Provides information and support at Head Office/non-project team

Assists the site team with quality planning, alerts them to risks and
recommends solutions

Conducts regular audits and monitors critical risk indicators
Monitors and improves product quality by completing product,
company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigates
customer complaints if required
Conducts monthly audits on allocated projects (including site and
office based departments) and produces analytical reports
Conducts regular site walks and inspections and identifies and flags
risks and poor work
Proposes solutions to potential risks identified to ensure fast and
effective resolution
Ensures audit recommendations are noted and encourages and
supports implementation on site
Analyses common weaknesses and problems and reports on such

Provides administration and business reporting support
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analysing
and summarizing information and trends including failed processes,
recalls, re works, corrective actions, and re-validations

Assist in ensuring that all QMS documentation is up to date and
accessible
Ensures that project site quality files, operational control plans,
benchmarking and risk assessment are compiled and in place for all
