-Give students an appreciation for the plight of soldiers

4. DAY-TO-DAY LESSON PLAN
Monday: Background of the War (Pre-War, WW1)
Tuesday: Overview of the Major Players in War/Reason for
Entering the War (Axis: Japan, Italy, Germany, Allies:
USA, Russia, UK, France etc.).
Wednesday: The US in WWII: Two Fronts: European, SE Asia
Thursday: View From the Front: The Lives of Soldiers in the
101st Airborne
Friday: Aftermath of the War/ Implications for Today
5. USE OF TECHNOLOGY
Videos: The use of Youtube/Video Documentaries will be used to
show details about the war/ lives of soldiers through interviews
and documentaries

-Band of Brothers Interviews: History Channel
Powerpoint: Used to outline lectures about the war/provide simple
layout for easy understanding
Crafts: Students will write a mock “Letter to Home” from a soldier
of their choosing to demonstrate understanding of the lives of
soldiers
