This document discusses problem-based learning and blended learning. It notes that problem-based learning encourages student ownership of learning based on constructivism. It lists examples like collection, informational, and orientation projects. Benefits mentioned include preparing students for the workplace, increasing motivation and skills like problem solving, and providing opportunities to contribute to the community. It also briefly discusses face-to-face, online, and blended learning models.

All languages have a saying underlining the importance of language learning. Here they are. The message behind these sayings is that we should try to learn a langauge to widen our horizons, to feel yourself free like a bird flying everywhere, and to build up your own self-confidence.
They need full attention, guick decision-making, accepting serious results … there are not any do-overs.
Learner autonomy is necessary to build self confidence, which is a must in teaching. Teacher must leave their traditional roles as an authority.
Real life should be reflected in the classroom. That means life beyond the walls, authentic language, which is enjoyable and more motivating.
İn language teaching, there are major school of thoughts; these are Behaviorism, Cognitivism, and Constructivism. They play important roles in the formulation of methods and approaches. Learners construct and internalize new concepts, ideas and knowledge based on their knowledge and experience. It is a multidisciplinary approach.
Constructivism is not something like the case illustrated in this cartoon. A teacher cannot be both authoritarian and constructivist at the same time. Real constructivists take up the position in favour of learners and learning.
Technological development not be ignored, most students are keen on techno very much. Even Better than some teachers. Technology related terms are very common everywhere. One of them is blended learning, it aims to integrate face-to-face learning into computer-mediated learning. It promises better and more learning. It enables students to get access to resources. It is also cost effective - saving money.
Flipped or inverted learning is to integrate online learning into regular classes. Teacher records the lecture beforehand and and upload it. And then students watch it before coming to classroom. Class time is reserved for further discussions and activities instead of lecturing. There are some Learning Management Systems such as edmodo.com, engrade.com, schoology.com. These are free online systems such as Edmodo and Engrade. Teacher can upload videos, assign homework, see the attandance and interact with them.
Underlining the experiential and applied dimension of learning, this quotation reflects the gist, philosophy behind the PBL.
Actually, ıt is upon to teacher whether to use a Project as a consolidating tool or not.
PBL reflects the top three steps in Bloom’s taxonomy of learning objectives …. They need critical thinking and active participation.
The active involvement of learners, with high levels of cognitive processing is the core philosopy of PBL.
This means that not only teacher’s role but also student’s contribution is important.
