1. What revolution impacted your life more?
I am going to be talking about the digital and industrial revolution from the perspective of a
middle class citizen and I’ll also summarize which one had the bigger impact and which
helped us more socially so the way we communicate and transport with those nearby and
others across the world and people’s social standing so how much money they earned/earn
and jobs now and then. First of all I’m going to be talking about communication
Before the industrial revolution a way to communicate would be writing letters, using a
telegram sending messages with dots and dashes, you communicate through messengers
and according to wiki answers sometimes messages are written on paper and tied to doves,
then the doves took the message to the wanted location. After the industrial revolution
there was an electrical telegraph, the telegraph cable reached all the way to Australia,
messages could be flashed in minutes. Before the digital revolution there was a radio
invented in 1920, The telephone was invented in 1876, the first computer was invented in
1822 but both of the computer and telephone were huge then when the digital revolution
came along it made all portable, smaller and added new features such as touch screen,
laptops can bend and turn around and they have a battery life of up to 8 hours, we can call
people across the globe with a simple click on a computer that we can take whenever we
want to take it.
Before the revolution types of transportation were carriages, walking and overseas
vessels which would only take people from England to America and visa versa. After
the industrial revolution there was a stream powered train, there were canals which
means people could go places easier and faster, now and during the digital
revolution there is speed boats, bts and planes which can take you anywhere in the
world in a couple hours!
The Conclusion the industrial revolution was like the main course and the digital
revolution was the desert because we would still be able to adapt without the
digital revolution but the industrial revolution really started things off for us because
the digital revolution couldn’t of happened if the industrial revolution didn’t happen.
