1) Jesus is the perfect leader who guides Christians to eternal salvation in heaven, as he is superior to Moses. 2) Christians must constantly focus on Jesus through studying his word, prayer, worship, and faithful service to avoid spiritual danger and departure from God like Israel experienced. 3) Believers are warned to strengthen their faith daily through encouraging each other, loving God, and avoiding unbelief which can lead to disobedience and being barred from heaven.

2. Opening:
• Jesus is the Faithful leader who has come
to lead us to the eternal promise land.
• Let us study how He was and is superior
to Moses as a leader and lawgiver, etc
• As our perfect Leader Jesus Word teaches
us how we need to travel through our lives
(wilderness) successfully so we may reach
the promise land forever.

3. Christians Are Involved With The
Heavenly Calling
• As such we must give constant attention to
Jesus as our Apostle and High Priest.
– Without Him bringing us the Word of Salvation
and the Perfect Sacrifices we would be forever
hopeless and spiritually lost. Eph. 2:12-17
– We today must be involved in constant
communication with God through His Word and
our service to Him (worship). 1 Peter 4:19
– Study and prayer life plus devotion to God
throughout each day. Acts 17:11; 1 Thes. 5:17

4. We Are The House of God
• Christ is the Head of His house which is His
church. Hebrews 3:6; 1 Tim. 3:15; Eph.
1:22-23
• Just like the Israelites we have the danger
of departing from God if we do not live
carefully. Heb. 3:6-13
– Be properly warned of this danger. 12-13
– We must work hard to be faithful! Heb. 3:6,14;
10:36

5. Learn from Israel’s Example
• Develop your strength of faith constantly.
– Focus on hearing and believing the Truth.
Romans 10:17
– By Exhorting each other daily. Mark 12:31
– Love yourself by following Jesus daily. Lk. 9:23
– If not, unbelief can begin to set into your life.
• Deceitfulness of sin can start… Heb. 3:13
–Saying other things are more important
than what God has taught us. James 3:14

6. Unbelief Keeps You
Out of Heaven
• Our promised land is heaven. 1 Pet. 1:3-5
• Unbelief is disobedience. Heb. 3:15-19;

• Let us believe to the saving of the soul.
