•Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.

3. 1PETER 2:9-11
BUT YOU ARE A CHOSEN RACE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR HIS OWN POSSESSION, THAT YOU MAY PROCLAIM THE EXCELLENCIES OF HIM WHO CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT. WHEN I WAS A CHILD, I USED TO SPEAK LIKE A CHILD, THINK LIKE A CHILD, REASON LIKE A CHILD; WHEN I BECAME A MAN, I DID AWAY WITH CHILDISH THINGS.... BUT NOW FAITH, HOPE, LOVE, ABIDE THESE THREE; BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE ISLOVE.

GOD WANTS US TO GROW UP, TO KNOW THE WHOLE TRUTH AND TELL IT IN LOVE—LIKE CHRIST IN EVERYTHING. WE TAKE OUR LEAD FROM CHRIST, WHO IS THE SOURCE OF EVERYTHING WE DO. HE KEEPS US IN STEP WITH EACH OTHER. HIS VERY BREATH AND BLOOD FLOW THROUGH US, NOURISHING US SO THAT WE WILL GROW UP HEALTHY IN GOD, ROBUST IN LOVE.
