There is a consensus among the scientific community that these are more or less some basic things to take into account in order to achieve effective mentoring practices. To have very clear and achievable aims, to avoid laisser faire activities, to have a strong connection with the school or other institutions, to have dialogical relationships in the triad (mentor, mentee’s and mentee’s parents), to have a reasonable length, to adequate mentor training and to have a good supervision.
