5. Introduction
• The drive test is done in Axum city, there are 16 physical sites in the
cluster area that has been covered. In this report coverage and quality
performance of the cluster has been checked and the distribution of
coverage and quality performance of the cluster has been shown as well.
• The test is done for technology WCDMA and GSM (2G) at the specified
route.
• Objective
• Conduct DT and OSS KPI assessment for evaluating the network
performance and capacity to identify areas to be improved at the tested
route.
• Identify the problem and appropriate optimization proposal.

Conclusion and Recommendation
• From the overall drive test result Axum cluster , the coverage and Quality performance is good. However there are
some areas with poor coverage and quality as shown in the coverage quality distribution plot resulted in site 121041
which is active but not holding traffic.
• Regular DT measurement and analysis will improve coverage performance and improve customer experiences to the
network.
• There are also kpi degradation due to DL_power congestion and 43 call setup failures from the drive test result , so
to improve the call setup access we proposed DL_Power adjustment
• On 2G technologies KPI analysis has shown high SDDCH and TCH blocking and congestion, and from the drive test
result 12 call setup failures, hence we proposed SDCCH and TCH resource adjustment
