Holocaust. Anne Frank was a Jewish girl in Germany in the late 1920's and she is known for her
diary, which she wrote while she was hiding from the Nazis. Her diary consisted of her life in hiding
from 1942 up until she was captured in 1944 when she was taken and killed in Auschwitz. Her
father, Otto Frank, would convert the diary her daughter wrote into a book so that the horrors of the

By the mid 1950's, the book had become much more popular and had been adapted to a variety of
languages. It was thought that post–WWII people would not want to read about the War stories
given the tragedies they had occurred, but this was different with The Diary of Anne Frank
(Rosenfeld, 3). This would be reflected in the variety of interpretations in the years after it was
published. Some people viewed the diary as an important document since it revealed the truth about
Nazism, while other thought that the diary was bad for society because it acts as a reminder of the

Poetry can be divided up into different forms, more easily expressing an author's emotions and
intent with their poetry. For analyzing purposes I chose the poems Self–Help by Michael Ryan,
Ghazal by Agha Shahid Ali, Psalm 150 by Jericho Brown, and Emergency by Michael Dylan Welch.
Michael Ryan's villanelle, Self–Help, follows the typical villanelle style with 19 lines, including five
terrets and a quatrain. The main storyline follows the speaker who is reprimanding a woman for
blindly falling for a man, only seeing the good in him and being naive with her marriage. With the
first and third lines stating, "What kind of delusion are you under?" (1) and "You see the lightning
but not the thunder" (3) repeating, it emphases an obsessive thought, as if a haunting motif is spread
throughout, where the author doesn't understand the protagonist's thoughts or actions. Through the
use of assonance and consonance, such as "hath" (4) and rat (5), "crown them" (11) and "baseball
bat" (11), the author uses repetition to set the mood of the poem in a negative light– setting a certain
tone. Even the title Self–Help is the author's way of communication they're done trying to help the
protagonist and it's time for that person to reflect themselves and take care of their situation. In
Ghazal by Agha Shahid Ali the form is a ghazal, which is made up of a sequence of 2–line stanzas

It could even be seen as both, depending on the situation. But in any reading situation, people don't
typically think about how, where, or when they read. Reading tends to come as a natural occurrence
with no afterthoughts or reasons of why, you just read. This characteristic is similar to the way a
cheetah roams the same grassland over and over again. The cheetah never thinks about why it likes
that particular grassland or why it prefers the shade more than the sun. These are subconscious
reactions that come naturally to animals like cheetahs, and humans like myself. Like the cheetah, I
never think about why I like to read in the grass under the sun. As I contemplated the idea it
occurred to me that being outside in the sun relaxes me and therefore allows me to focus on what
I'm reading better, then if I were to stay inside. Staying focused is another characteristic cheetahs
and I have in common. Cheetahs run quickly, up to 75 mph, and have to stay focused in order to
keep that speed and balance. If a cheetah is running after prey and then loses its focus, the cheetah
will be unsuccessful in catching that prey. Similarly, I like to read quickly so I can get to the end of
the book faster, if I were to lose my focus I would be unsuccessful like the cheetah. As a student this
information about myself could be useful to me as I study. I know as a reader that reading outside
keeps me focused, so I can conclude that studying outside would also keep me focused. On the

The movie Umrao Jan was directed by Muzaffar Ali in 1981 and is a social drama (Muslim social)
and classic film. The film featured Rekha (played as Umrao Jan), Farooq Shaikh (played as Nawab
Sultan), Naseeruddin Shah (played as Gohar Mirza) and Raj Babbar (played as Faiz Ali) in the lead
roles while Gajanan Jagirdar (as Maulvi) who plays a supporting role. The story of the movie is
about a Lucknow courtesan (tawaif) and her growth in popularity. During 1840, a girl called Amiran
who is kidnapped from her home in Faizabad and sold her in Lucknow. Later, Amiran turned into

In recent years CEDIA has added project management courses to their portfolio, which immediately
outlines a problem statement: How is the implementation of such projects managed, are there any
formal project management methodologies being used and if so, are these complex projects
successful?
This research will be of value for the home automation industry as it will appraise the need of using
formal project management practices in complex home automation projects and it will constitute a
good knowledge base of project management, increasing the chances of project success in a growing
industry.
Relevant theory of project management and home automation projects will be analysed.
Additionally, the topic of construction project management will be studied to gain an understanding
of the stages of a construction project and how they are relevant in a home automation project. The
research question and the objectives driving this proposal will be outlined followed by the

philosophy, methodology and instruments to be used for data collection and analysis. Finally, a
timescale for the different activities involved in this research will be given.

The first quote that I chose is: "To read well, that is, to read true books in a true spirit is a noble
exercise, and one that will task the reader more than any exercise which the customs of the day
esteem." (Thoreau 82). From this quote I understood what Henry David Thoreau's viewpoint is,
regarding education. In his opinion, true books are the ones that challenge a person, books that have
hard vocabularies or deep insight. By doing so, a person is, in fact, strengthening his or her mind.
However, reading true books alone is not enough for personal and educational gain if the person
who is reading them does not have the "true spirit" of learning. By "true spirit" I believe that
Thoreau meant passion and a love for learning. Thus, if a person is passionate to read books that are
classic or educational, then that person, according to Thoreau, can gain the noble fruit of his or her

Undocumented immigrants in the United States are denied and limited to health care access due to
their legal status. However, recent arrived immigrants are healthier than the general U.S. population.
According to the National Longitudinal Mortality Study (1979–1989), "Singh and Siahpush (2001)
found that all–cause mortality was significantly lower among immigrants than among the U.S. born
(18% lower for men and 13% lower for women), after adjusting for age, race/ethnicity, marital
status, urban/rural residence, education, occupation, and family income (Acevedo–Garcia & Bates,
2008). While policy and Health Care Acts are denying and limiting health insurance to
undocumented immigrants and wanting them out of the country, that may not be an appropriate
strategy to promote health insurance in Latino communities since recent arriving immigrants are

more positive health behaviors, particularly related to substance abuse, than their non–Latino and
U.S. born counterparts. For example, compared to non–Latino whites, Latinos are less likely to
