2. Considerations
• When choosing who would be appropriate to
take part in our music video we had to take into
consideration many factors such as the audience
research, we found that they were open to using
any ethnicities or gender, which was convenient
as we will be using both genders.
• We also had to take into consideration people
who would be able to give their own time to help
us film and also individuals who were good
actors.
3. What Characters we need…
• The main character (preferably a girl)
• Boyfriend of main character
• Friends of main character
• Dinner Lady
• School Children
• Main characters employer
4. Louise O’Loughlin
• Louise will play the protagonist in
our music video, this is convenient
because she did GCSE Drama and is
good at acting. The fact that she is
part of our media group means that
she can dedicate all her time to
filming. We also considered using
Priya Banwara for our music video
however she lacked confidence when
in front of the camera and this
wouldn't’t be suitable because it
wouldn't’t look realistic and
therefore our music video wouldn’t
be taken seriously. We decided that
our protagonist will wear plain
casual clothes which will contrast
nicely with the plain music.
5. Shakeel Mirza
• Shakeel will be playing the love interest to
our protagonist. We thought that Shakeel
would be ideal for this role because he is
doing media studies too and he would able to
dedicate his own time to help us. We also
acknowledged the fact that Shakeel played a
role in a thriller opening and he did a good
job acting. At first we thought that Shakeel
wouldn't’t have time because he had to
dedicate his own time to his own media video,
however after discussing it with my group and
Shakeel we decided it would be the easiest
option as he would only be needed for two
scenes and he said that it would be fine. The
fact that Shakeel was part of our focus group
helped because he contributed some of his own
ideas and would understand what would be
happening in our music video.
6. Extra
• We have decided that the friends of the
protagonists will be played by Rumaysa Baig,
Pooja Kandwagja, Gamze Kaya and also Sobia
Jawaid.
• We have considered using Gamze and me to play
the dinner ladies and Karuhn Nahar for the
main head Chef.
