Department of Housing and Urban Development
From his start as a fair housing investigator in
HUD’s Boston office to his current position as the
General Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing
and Equal Opportunity, Bryan Greene has always
worked to promote diverse, inclusive communities.
Greene is responsible for the policy direction and
management of HUD’s Office of Fair Housing and
Equal Opportunity, which oversees investigation of
nearly 2,000 complaints annually and administers
the Fair Housing Assistance Program, which
provides $28 million to state and local agencies
for the investigation of more than 8,000
complaints each year. Greene was the 2007
recipient of the Presidential Rank Award, the
highest federal honor bestowed upon federal
executives for outstanding service.

	 An exploration of the unrecognized bias we all
have that can inhibit our ability to connect and
communicate effectively with communities and

the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, FMJP
investigates and prosecutes capitol offenses -
both new crimes and “cold” cases - committed
against members of the LGBTQ community.

	 In the wake of the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin
shooting in 2012, Serve 2 Unite emerged in a spirit

young people of all backgrounds to value

Vincent-Boccaccio Pardo, Student/Peace Advocate
Vincent-Boccaccio Pardo is an eighth grader at
Berkshire Middle School in Birmingham. At the
age of eight, Vincent became the youngest
American Cancer Society member to lobby at
the State Capitol. He is also the youngest trained
facilitator for the ACCESS Take on Hate campaign.
And at the U-M Summer Youth Dialogue program in
August, he was declared “one to watch” because of his
strong commitment to racial equality.
