Air Quality Evaluation
Study impacts based upon modeling of the Toxic Air Contaminant (TAC) sources,
quantify impacts for single-source and cumulative sources, in accordance with Bay
Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) CEQA thresholds and guidelines.
Identify mitigation measures as necessary, for significant impact.
Study of Parking supply and site circulation (student drop-offs/pick-ups)
evaluated for adequacy. Study to determine the traffic impacts of the
proposed development on about 27 principal intersections around the MCA
Study of any significant traffic impacts, based upon a Traffic Impact Study
prepared by Hexagon Transportation Consultants. The purpose of the traffic
analysis is to satisfy the requirements of the City of Santa Clara and the Valley
Transportation Agency (VTA).
Document the existing Shelter in Place facility, equipment and testing and
emergency event procedures.
Complete a hazardous material user survey around the area and address the
impact. This study includes review of local California Accidental Release
Prevention (CalARP) files, modeling of hazardous material release around the
area.
Thorough study of environmental issues required by the State CEQA
(California Environmental Quality Act) Guidelines and the City of Santa
Clara’s requirements.
