Youth and High School
Basketball
Opening – Perseverance to succeed – learned that there is no other option in life.
Hard work was instilled in me at a young age by working on farms when I was 11 and 12 years old.
Started playing sports very young, especially basketball at 5 years old.
Couldn’t start playing football until I was 9, but it taught me to take a hit and get back up. It showed me how to be a tough competitor and have to stay strong to win and succeed.
This is the part of my life that taught me hard work, dedication, determination, and perseverance was the key to success and accomplishing anything you want in life.
Sports taught me the ability to work hard for myself, but also to work hard for my team and strive to be the best for everyone.
Joined the Marine Corps and spent 8 years total in the corps.
