5. Functions of Copyright Board -
◎ To decide whether a work has been published.
◎ To settle the disputes as to assignment of copyright u/s 19-A.
◎ To settle the disputes as to assignment.
◎ To grant compulsory license to public unpublished Indian works.
◎ To grant compulsory license to produce and publish translation of literary and
dramatic works.
◎ To determine royalties payable to the owner of copyright.
◎ To rectify the errors made in registers maintained by the copyright office or board.

6. Rights of a Copyright Holder -

◎ Right to issue new copies of the work
◎ Right to have a copyright for fixed terms.
