MECHANICAL BEHAVIOUR OF Al ALLOY REINFORCED WITH Al2O3 / RICE HUSK ASH
PARTICLES SYNTHESIZEDBY STIRCASTING
Aluminium Matrix Composites was fabricated by reinforcing alumina and rice husk ash particles to the
matrix of AA 6061 and its mechanical properties such as Hardness, Ultimate Tensile Strength and flexural
strength increases while its density decreases with the addition of reinforcements.

DESIGN & FABRICATION PROJECT ONBRIMMED DIFFUSER IN WIND TURBINE
In a conventional wind turbine prototype, a broad-ring flanged diffuser shroud is designed and fixed at the
exit periphery. The flanged diffuser generates a low-pressure region at the exit by vortex formation which
draws more air mass flow to the wind turbine inside the diffuser shroud, thereby increasing the efficiency of
the wind turbine.

Learnt the working of thermal power plant and the various components involved in the efficient
functioning of the plant. Observed the practical operation of storage unit, conveyor system, boiler
cooling tower, condenser unit, turbines, fans and electrostatic precipitators.

Learnt about the functioning of the gear box, yawing system and pitch control system in the nacelle.
Acquired an overview of the various surface cleaning methods and painting techniques used in non-
pressure parts.

crusher, vertical rolling mill, kiln, cement grinder and packer.
