The film The Lottery is a comedy about two unemployed friends, Dean and Frank, who find a lottery ticket in the park. A chase ensues as they struggle to get the ticket from each other, with each using tricks to get it. Ultimately, the ticket is lost, blowing away down a drain or being taken by a passing boy, leaving the friends crying in despair over their lost chance at winning money. The film explores the lengths people will go and how friendships can be tested for the prospect of winning the lottery.

DEANO,
A 20 year old male who is an unorganised character portrayed through his
distinct costume showing his informal behaviour. He has not done much with
his life. Unemployed and crazy, DEANO has no targets or goals in life. Little
does he know it but fate is about to play a game with him.
FRANK,
A 20 year old male, Deano’s friend from childhood. FRANK has no life
ambition; he is lonely with no girlfriend and looks up to Deano. FRANK is in
desperate need of money, this could be his lucky day.
TREATMENT:
2. DEANO and FRANK two friends from childhood who cannot be separated,
the eat, sleep and think the same an event is about to happen which could
change their friendship forever!
Its early afternoon DEANO and FRANK are searching the streets as normal,
as they walk around Barking Park something catches their eye. They both
simultaneously look down and noticed an lottery ticket. This is where the fun
begins. DEANO goes to put his foot on the card when FRANK barges him
off, they look at each other with envy and greed. DEANO hits back but its too
late, FRANK has the card in his hand and has made a run for it. The chase
has started, with the scratch card swapping hands back and forth. They both
use dirty tricks to fool the other as they chase each other through Barking.
Neither can afford not to go for.
DEANO gets the lottery ticket and he is ecstatic as he looks up and turns his
head “BANG” he gets run over. FRANK sees the lottery ticket on the floor
and goes to get it, as he goes to grab the lottery ticket and finally gets it back
DEANO opens his eyes and trips FRANK up. As they both laying on the floor
the ticket blows to the other side of the road. A little boy on a scooter sees the
ticket on the floor picks it up and rides off into the distance, as this happens
we cut away to a shot of DEANO and FRANK on the pavement both crying
over the ticket as they have lost all their winnings.
Alternative Ending:
DEANO gets the lottery ticket and he is ecstatic as he looks up and turns his
head “BANG” he gets run over. FRANK sees the lottery ticket on the floor
and goes to get it, as he goes to grab the lottery ticket and finally gets it back
DEANO opens his eyes and trips FRANK up. As they both laying on the floor
