THE WAY HUMANS INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER HAS CHANGED SIGNIFICANTLY OVER LAST DECADE
Till 1980 From late 2000’s till nowTill Late 2000’s
1
CURRENTLY EVERY ASPECT OF COMMUNICATION IS ENABLED BY INTERNET AND VOIP SERVICES
Personal Communication
Professional
Communication
Microsoft Outlook, an effective productivity tool, leveraged by many
corporates and smaller organization for their day to day email
communication between employees and for clients.
Facebook, a world renowned social network is enabling friends across
the globe to stay connected with each other. It has made easier for
long lost friends to find each other and communicate. It also offers an
inbuilt messenger application through which 2 people or a group can
have private conversation.
WhatsApp messenger, a messaging application which works on the
internet connection of the mobile device has eradicated the need of
SMS to communicate with other people.
Slack is a messaging platform used by modern teams and it helps
team in being more collaborative.
Skype has been an enabler in helping people sitting at different
geographic locations to do a video chat with each other, and give an
experience like a face-to-face conversation.
CISCO WebEx came up with a video conference solution because of
globalization, humans were facing a challenge in managing face-to-
face meetings for people working out of different geographies.
Twitter came in as an innovative social media platform, which enabled
people to have a conversation with celebrities, politician, businessmen
and many more. It also updated users with the latest trending activities
happening.
DigitalGenius is enabling the way corporates communicate with
their customers and provide support in their day to day queries,
Snapchat is enabling humans in communicating with their friends and
families by sending images of whatever activities they are doing
currently.
Haptik works as a communicating platform between companies and
consumers, it enables both of them. It can be leveraged to set
reminders, book flights, order food or even make a restaurant
reservations.

EFFECTS OF INTERNET AND VOIP SERVICES ON SOCIAL INTERACTION
Every action has equal and opposite reaction
- Sir Isaac Newton
Technology has made lives of people easy. It has
made world smaller. Thanks to the power of social
networks people across the globe gets updated of
the activities happening around the world.
Snapchat saves 20-year-old Delhi girl’s, who
decided to commit suicide
• When she shared her plan of committing suicide
over Snapchat, when she got to know she is
pregnant, whole world started sending messages
to her and gave her strength to talk about it to her
parents.
• This is just one instance, which shows the power
of social media
Indian Minister decided to be active on Twitter
• Suresh Prabhu and the completed Indian team
help passengers in distress when they are
travelling
• Sushma Swaraj has time and again helped
strangled NRIs in getting their VISA processed
early, helping widows to come back to India and
much more.
• Technology has enabled communication, which is
acting as a boon for various matters.
Even though technology has made lives of people
easy and it has brought world closer. However,
Social Interaction which harness the power of
technology is also the power house of spreading
rumours and creating nuisance.
In August 2016, there was a serious agitation
between 2 states in India over river water
consumption and distribution
• People behind this ruckus leveraged social media
to spread rumours and created trouble for people
living in various cities.
• Eventually Bangalore and Chennai, 2 biggest
business hubs in India, were shut down for couple
of days.
It has been a practice of several people to keep
their phones next to them
• This habit although keeps them available for any
important email or message, which needs utmost
attention. However, this practice also hampers their
sleep patterns eventually people are getting serious
medical issues very early in their life.
• In the race to be first to inform any incident that
happen in their vicinity, people forget to help the
victim and keep on sharing news on social media.
Time sat on the front seat of Ferrari, and 5
years flew with the wind!
Hola 2022!

CONVERGENCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, AUGMENTED & VIRTUAL REALITY DISRUPTED SOCIAL
INTERACTION
Long gone are those days when a person used a cellular phone to communicate with his loved ones.
Wearable technology has evolved and by using an eyewear powered with Augmented reality the user can
have a conversation with other people just like he would do it if he meets him in person.
JARVIS, the famous fictional character from the Iron Man movie series, is a reality and it not only runs the
house but also has meaningful conversation with the inmates living in the apartment. JARVIS is also one of
their best friends.
Humans are still a social animal, and when the need to travel arises to meet near and dear ones. They
don’t waste time by travelling in Airplane thanks to Elon Musk’s concept of HYPERLOOP, which was
mocked by everyone in 2017, but is now a reality and people travel at the speed of 1000 miles per hour.
In 2022, people don’t write emails using their laptops/ mobile phones. An internet enabled hand band
connected with a head band, which detects the message using neuro transmitters, directly transmits
messages to the hand band of the designated person.
5
6
EFFECTS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, AUGMENTED & VIRTUAL REALITY ON SOCIAL INTERACTION
Technologies like
HYPERLOOP would help us
save a lot of time, and we
would be able to meet our
near and dear ones faster.
1
Artificial Intelligence would
always keep a record of the
conversations happening at
home, and this data could be
hacked. Eventually it would be
a privacy concern for humans.
3
Humans would eventually
loose their biggest strength,
which is emotion when the
meet their loved ones, as
seeing them on Augmented
Reality would loose the real
essence of meeting them in
person.
4
In this fast growing world,
when we are away from
friends and family. AR & VR
would make us feel a part of
their world whenever we
could speak to them through
the devices,
2
Advantages Disadvantages
Like Humans, Time also sat on the HYPERLOOP,
and travelled at a speed of 1000 miles per hour
Welcome 2027!

THE HUNGER TO BRING TECHNOLOGICAL DISRUPTION TO SOCIAL INTERACTION BRINGS A PARADIGM SHIFT IN IT
• Its 2027 and wearable
devices are a thing of the
past. Small chips are
attached to the neural
network of humans.
• These chips work in sync
with the internet, thanks to
free Wi-Fi available
throughout the globe, and
conversations happen just
by the trigger of thoughts.
• Just Artificial Intelligence
doesn’t suffice the ever
growing needs and
demands of human beings.
• Now people have very
powerful personal
assistants, who apart from
being an assistant are their
best friends and guardians
too.
• The eagerness to be super
fast and super productive
lead humans to develop
teleportation.
• Human beings still hang
out with their friends and
family, but don’t waste time
in travelling. They just get
teleported.
• The need of being
available 24X7, made
human discover the
technology to build their
clones.
• By being able to develop
clones humans are able to
be present at all the
professional and personal
social gatherings and
humans can attend what is
vital for them.
NEUROTRANSMITTERS HUMANOIDS TELEPORTATION CLONES
8
9
Neurotransmitter would
enable honest conversation
between people, as the
whole conversation would
be happening on thought
process.
1
In case of group conversations
and interactions.
Neurotransmitter would be a
big disaster as it would be
difficult simultaneous thoughts
amongst the group.
3
Cloning would make humans
loose their identity, and it
would be eventually resulting a
discord in society.
4
Teleportation would enable
fastest mode of
transportation, and
eventually a busy life people
would be able spend time
with their friends & family.
2
Advantages Disadvantages
EFFECTS OF BRINGING TECHNOLOGICAL DISRUPTION TO SOCIAL INTERACTION
ONE WISE MAN ALREADY KNEW THE IMPLICATIONS OF TECHNOLOGY ON
MANKIND
“It has become
appallingly obvious
that our technology
has exceeded
humanity”
Albert Einstein 10

  • 6. CONVERGENCE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, AUGMENTED & VIRTUAL REALITY DISRUPTED SOCIAL INTERACTION Long gone are those days when a person used a cellular phone to communicate with his loved ones. Wearable technology has evolved and by using an eyewear powered with Augmented reality the user can have a conversation with other people just like he would do it if he meets him in person. JARVIS, the famous fictional character from the Iron Man movie series, is a reality and it not only runs the house but also has meaningful conversation with the inmates living in the apartment. JARVIS is also one of their best friends. Humans are still a social animal, and when the need to travel arises to meet near and dear ones. They don’t waste time by travelling in Airplane thanks to Elon Musk’s concept of HYPERLOOP, which was mocked by everyone in 2017, but is now a reality and people travel at the speed of 1000 miles per hour. In 2022, people don’t write emails using their laptops/ mobile phones. An internet enabled hand band connected with a head band, which detects the message using neuro transmitters, directly transmits messages to the hand band of the designated person. 5

Small chips are attached to the neural network of humans. • These chips work in sync with the internet, thanks to free Wi-Fi available throughout the globe, and conversations happen just by the trigger of thoughts. • Just Artificial Intelligence doesn’t suffice the ever growing needs and demands of human beings. • Now people have very powerful personal assistants, who apart from being an assistant are their best friends and guardians too. • The eagerness to be super fast and super productive lead humans to develop teleportation. • Human beings still hang out with their friends and family, but don’t waste time in travelling. They just get teleported. • The need of being available 24X7, made human discover the technology to build their clones. • By being able to develop clones humans are able to be present at all the professional and personal social gatherings and humans can attend what is vital for them.
