CERTIFICATE
This is to certify that the project entitled “DISTRIBUTOR VALVE”has been
submitted by Mr.Kshirsagar M.A And Mr.Kulkarni C.S. In Final Year Of
Mechanical Engineering as per curriculum laid by the Solapur University,
Solapur during the academic year 2016-2017.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:-
It is my pleasure to get this opportunity to thank my beloved and
respected Guide Prof. who imparted valuable knowledge of Project
“Distributor Valve .”
I am grateful to Works Manager Mr. Shobhit Pratap Singh
for his encouragement and guidance throughout the training period.
I express my sincere thanks to all the staff, faculties and All
Department , who have helped me directly or indirectly in completing
this Training Report.
I also like to grateful my parents for wishes and moral support
during the preparation and all concerned for helping and encouraging
me. I am grateful for the many useful comments and suggestions
provided by reviewers, which have resulted significant improvements in
the dissertation.
Introduction:-
Distributer Valve is The Brain Of The Air Brake System. It's
main function is to charging the air into the cylinder & Apply
The Brake In The 18 to 30 Sec. Also It another Most Important
Function is to Release The Brake After 45 to 60 sec.
Principle:-
To Give the Sufficient Amount Of Air To Charge The cylinder
& This Air Is Supplied To Every Part For Applying The Brake
As well as Release the brake in the accurate time.
Working:-
It is used to charge the cylinder i.e. control reservior Also
charge Sub reservior. To apply the brake in the brake cylinder
by supplying sufficient amount of air about 3.8 Kg/Cm^2.
To apply the brake as early as possible as well as release
brake. It can remove air the air from cyclinder & It can charge
cylinder by hand to push the relese lever.
It can control the the timing of applying the brake &
releasing the brake as per Bougie & Coach.
Working Of Brake cylinder:
To charge the air into brake system into the brake
cylinder .In The brake cylinder only atmospheric air is present
also there is no another any pressure in that cylinder.
In timing of the brake apply the brake pipe pressure
(B.P) of air is about 5 Kg/cm^2 .
To release the brake charging of the air into the cylinder
is important so that after that three pressure valve of D.V to get
Oringinal position & exhaust the air to get the joint. the whole
air is goes inside the D.V. & return spring piston to get it's
original position.
The following pressure are required for testing of the distributer
valve:-
1) M.R (main master reserviour):-
when braking pressure is 7.6 kg/cm^2 the main master
reserviour pressure is 6.5 kg/cm^2.
2) B.P (brake pipe pressure):-
the brake pipe pressure is about 5kg/cm^2. chmber
timing is 160 to 210 sec.
3) C.R(control reservior):-
its pressure is about 5 kg/cm^2.
4) A.R(auxiliary reserviour):-
the 5kg/cm^2 pressure is present into this reserviour.
5) B.C(brake cylinder):-
in this the pressure is 3.8 kg/cm^2.
TEST FOR DISTRIBUTER VALVE:-
1).Single Test:-
To find out leakages to charging the D.V then use soap
solution.
2).Charging Time:-
A.R pressure is o - 4.8 kg.cm^2. brake timing is 160 to 210
sec C.R is also charge.
3).Full Service Application:-
release the brake cylinder in 18-30 sec & pressure is about 0 -
3.8 kg/cm^2.
4).Emergency Application:-
feeding time is 18 to 30 sec for B.C 3.6 kg/cm^2 & releasing
time is 45-60 sec.
5).Sensitivity Application:-
To sense upto 6 sec to apply the brake in that CR-AR-BP is
5kg/cm^2 & close the FP & open the sense the valve. in that
time is 0.6 sec to apply the brake minimize the AR.
6).Insensitivity:-
when we open the valve B.P is 0.3 kg/cm^2 in the below 60
sec . to apply the brake BP pressure 0.3 to get minimize BP is
apply is not apply in 60 sec.
Application:-
1). Wide range of the different vehicle.
2).All sizes of the brake cylinder.
3).Single & Twin pipes of the brake system.
4). Used in the rail way as per application.
