2. Sulfation in Battery & its effects
Battery discharges by itself, It can go as high as 3% to 20% per month in idle state
depending on the battery type and temperature while not in use. Extreme climates
are not good for batteries. Extreme cold will reduce the power available and will
make battery case brittle and easily broken. Extreme heat will result electrolyte
loss due to evaporation. All the above cause SULFATION in batteries, which
becomes a fatal cause of their failure to perform.
