Summary
Energetic, goal-driven, licensed elementary education teacher committed to providing an environment where
every student has the means to take meaningful risks and develop cognitively and emotionally through my use of
best practice techniques which instills a love of learning and prepares them for the 21st century. I have gained
valuable experience working with homeless children, kids in Ireland, and students at independent and public
schools in Denver, Wheat Ridge and Aurora. With my experience as a photojournalist and my love of acting, I
motivate and inspire students, creating a fun and challenging learning environment.

As an intern teacher, I worked full time alongside a mentor teacher in an apprenticeship model, gaining an
understanding of experience-based, developmentally appropriate education. I began the year working with small
groups of children and ended the year managing the entire classroom. With ongoing feedback and support from
my mentor and educational advisor, I participated in all aspects of the teaching process.
