- Not possible to talk about all of the Hawaiian plants and their remedies Plants commonly used in traditional Hawaiian medicine Keep in mind `A`ole pau ka `ike i ka hālau ho`okahi You might have been taught differently Sometimes several different recommendations can be suggested for the same condition. This is partly because some of the plants/herbs are ot available year round. Also because different locations have access to different plants. Also because individuals differ. Just because a certain remedy helped one person, doesn’t mean the same exact remedy will work just as well with another person.
