A military solder can walk faster than that. •The average time wasted in a traffic jam at Dhaka per day can be as high as 1 hour, and often 2 hours each day in your shiny new SUV. •A Mercedes car’s dent repair cost could go as high as 1 lacs take, for the same dent in our small car could be less than 5 thousand. •From the environmental point of view, an EV gives you economy, guilt free commute and complete peace of mind.
- 2. The price parity Apple to apple comparison with speed, range, comfort and safety, an EV car is already lower in price than an ICE car as we watch this today.
- 3. The utility Two things are a point of concern for EV migration. The charging infrastructure and range anxiety. Now if you calculate the range of your commute, most EV cars are already capable enough to cover your daily range, some even recharge, at your traffic jam with regenerative brakes and some with solar. A new car from a company can technically driver forever fuel free, at the extreme end if you are really interested to circumnavigate the world!
- 4. So what’s stopping us from buying an EV? •Range anxiety •Lack of charging infrastructure •Lack of subsidy, govt support like Norway does and most EU nations •Unwillingness to change •Plain simple ignorance.
- 5. ICE and EV moving parts With no clutch or gears EVs can accelerate smoothly and quickly; they often feel like you're driving a sports car. A fully electric car has fewer moving parts, so they come with less ongoing maintenance costs. In fact, there are about 20 moving parts in an electric engine, compared to nearly 2,000 in an ICEV!
