This starter kit contains hardware and software for developing applications using Wi-Fi connectivity on the Renesas RX62N microcontroller. The kit includes an RX62N microcontroller board, a companion card with the Redpine Connect-io-n RS9110-N-11-22 Wi-Fi module mounted and integrated with the RX62N over SPI. The kit provides everything needed to begin development, including demo applications, driver code, and development tools to interface with the Wi-Fi module and evaluate its features.

This ultra low power Wi-Fi Starter Kit (RS-RX62N-2201) is a developer-friendly platform for the fully
integrated
(embedded TCP/IP stack, on-board antenna and frequency reference ) RS9110-N-11-22 module from
Redpine’s
Connect-io-n™ family of 802.11n Wi-Fi modules using the RX62N MCU board from Renesas Electronics.
The
board provides a platform for users who want to develop applications on the RX62N microcontroller and
use the Wi-
Fi module to connect to a network to transfer data. The Kit includes an API Library for controlling the Wi-
Fi module,
source code for driver, an easy-to-setup Demo Application along with Renesas Electronics’ rich suite of
development
tools for coding and debugging – the High performance Embedded Workshop (HEW), RX compiler and
onboard
debugger.
The RS9110-N-11-22 module comes mounted on a companion card for the RX62N Board. It is integrated
with the
RX62N over SPI. The Starter Kit can be used to evaluate the features and performance of the module in
addition to
the RX62N and its peripherals by giving the user a simple platform on which code can be run in minutes
from opening
the box.
