ABSTRACT
Behavior Based Safety is a safety method that focuses on the behavior of the employees to reduce the risk of injury and accidents in the workplace. There are the six keys to success that cover everything needed to ensure that you can prepare your workplace to be safe. We also discussed the pros and cons of behavior based safety so that you can see how it benefits companies and how it can harm them. Lastly, there are some case study/focus group questions that actually ask the employees how they feel about the safety method in their workplace. We also included some graphs to demonstrate how this safety method is operated. Comment by Windows User: What are those six keys? The reader should be able to get the most important findings from your abstract without a need to read the rest of the report.
Comment by Windows User: What are the pros and cons Comment by Windows User: So, what is your conclusion from those studies? Comment by Windows User: Not needed
INTRODUCTION
Behavior Based Safety is the application of science of behavior change to real world problems. This process creates a safety partnership between management and employees that continually focuses people’s attentions and actions on their, and others, daily safety behavior. There are 6 keys to success that go along with Behavior Based Safety that will ensure a safe workplace. Behavior Based Safety is also not always so good. There are several pros and cons about this method that will be discussed. Lastly, we will examine 3 case study questions that will provide more information about Behavior Based Safety. Comment by Windows User: You do not need to mention that here as well. In the introduction part, you need to explain what are the areas you focused in your report, and why.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Comment by Windows User: You need some subtitles to direct your discussion
The 6 Keys to success come from Qualitysafetyedge.com and they are as listed: Comment by Windows User: Standard citations!
1.) Planning 1st, Training 2nd
· Do not rush into to training your employees. Make a plan on how to ensure that your employees will have a safe workplace and maintain that workplace. Comment by Windows User: This is not a guide or manual. You should read it, and then write it .

INTRODUCTION
Behavior Based Safety is the application of science of
behavior change to real world problems. This process creates a
safety partnership between management and employees that
continually focuses people’s attentions and actions on their, and
others, daily safety behavior. There are 6 keys to success that
go along with Behavior Based Safety that will ensure a safe
workplace. Behavior Based Safety is also not always so good.
There are several pros and cons about this method that will be
discussed. Lastly, we will examine 3 case study questions that
will provide more information about Behavior Based Safety.
Comment by Windows User: You do not need to mention
that here as well. In the introduction part, you need to explain
what are the areas you focused in your report, and why.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Comment by Windows
User: You need some subtitles to direct your discussion
The 6 Keys to success come from Qualitysafetyedge.com and
they are as listed: Comment by Windows User: Standard
citations!
1.) Planning 1st, Training 2nd
· Do not rush into to training your employees. Make a plan on
how to ensure that your employees will have a safe workplace
and maintain that workplace. Comment by Windows User: This
is not a guide or manual. You should read it, and then write it in
your own narrative way.
2.) Create Checklists Specific to your Facility
· Not all workplaces will have the same safety hazards. Make
sure to inspect your workplace and find any risks.
3.) Provide Observer Training for All Employees
· Do not just do classroom like training for employees. Put them
4. in the workplace and make sure that they see how to do it
instead of just knowing.
4.) Use Observation Data to Improve Safety
· Once you have instituted the new safety method; observe for a
little while and make changes accordingly.
5.) Use Recognition and Celebrations to Support Safety Efforts
· If all goes well, recognize the employees that have succeeded
and reward or celebrate their accomplishments.
6.) Train Leaders in their Roles
· Make sure that the leaders know every part of the job. They
need to know how both sides work and not just the supervising
part.
Now there are the pros and cons of Behavior Based Safety:
Pros:
· Engages workers.
· Supports modern accountability
· Reduces injuries and accidents
Cons:
· Behavior Based Safety blames workers if it is not fully
implemented. Employees do not cause risk without a cause. It
may be because they lack training or weren’t given the correct
information. It shouldn’t be the employees fault; it should
always be because of BBS.
· Struggle in industries with a high turnover rate
And here are some case study questions that provide more
information on Behavior Based Safety:
Comment by Windows User: All these tables and figures
do not add any more information to your report without
explanations and your own interpretations. You should make
conclusions how the information there prove or show more clue
regarding your specific area.
All figures should be discussed, all the data in the tables should
5. be interpreted. Otherwise, there is no point for putting them in
the report.
CONCLUSIONS Comment by Windows User: Discuss the
most important finding. The general sentences do not help.
The last sentence should be the first introductory sentence.
Again six keys are there is not informative.
More specific!
As you can see there is a lot to Behavior Based Society. The
case study questions show that management should be less
involved based on asking the employees. There are 6 keys to
success that ensure that behavior based safety will keep the
workplace safe. Behavior Based Safety is a safety program that
focuses on the behavior of the employees to make sure they
make good choices so that the workplace stays safe.
REFERENCES Comment by Windows User: Formatting!
The citations should be embedded in the text. Where in the
report manuscript you used ref. 1, 2, 3, etc?
Also, the citation does not mean bringing the URL link. If you
are citing a paper, you need to use one the standard formats for
citing that article or book.
6. It should be mentioned in the text in a standard way, and then
the citation should be provided at the end

ABSTRACT
The abstract is simply a descriptive summary of the information
included in the report; it is a table of contents in paragraph form
or a miniature version of the whole report. It should be a brief
(about 200 words) description of what was learned from the
discussion session. Your abstract should emphasize the
8. objectives, the discussion, results, and conclusions (usually in
that order). This section demonstrates your knowledge of how
all the information is integrated together and gives the reader an
overall idea of what the report is about. In practice, your
audience will not read beyond the abstract if it does not
concisely attract their interest, so it is important that you are
thorough but to-the-point. Since the abstract is a summary of
the report, the best time to write it is after you have completed
the report.
Type your abstract here …
INTRODUCTION
The introduction should give the reader the motivation for
conducting the discussion, and a brief description of the
discussion process and methods. Try to limit this to one
paragraph.
Type your Introduction section here …
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
This section is the most important part of the report. It contains
all the results obtained during the discussion.
Good presentation of the results is essential before you can
effectively discuss and present the arguments and conclusions
your draw from them.In case of using any figure or table, all
tables should have a descriptive table title (included above the
table) and all graphs (or any other figure) should have a
descriptive figure caption (included below the table). When
presenting tables and figures, you must always introduce them
in the text, oftentimes through a parenthetical like this: “(see
Table 1)”. Alternatively, you can reference the table or figure in
a sentence like this: “Table 1 shows ….” The table or figure
must follow as closely as possible after the paragraph in which
it is first introduced.
The discussion is where you must demonstrate, in your own
words, that you understand the concepts included in the
discussion topic.
9. Always try to avoid lengthy discussions. Make sure your
arguments in this section do not have fallacy; all conclusions
should follow logically from a combination of the already
known information or available in the literature and your team’s
thoughts. It is suggested to define a guideline for your
discussion before starting to look for new information. In this
step, which we call it the “brainstorming step”, with the help of
instructor, you define the important headlines that you need to
focus on regarding the specific topic that you have chosen.
Write down the subtitles that are important and interesting for
your team to be discussed, and organize your time and effort as
a team to address those items one by one.
Type your Results section here …
Table X Table Titles Should be Placed Directly Above Tables
and Should Concisely Describe the Information Presented in the
Table. Keep Them Brief, Capitalizing All Major Words.
10. Figure
Figure Y Figure captions should be placed below figures,
capitalizing only the first word and any proper noun or
adjective; they should end with a period. Like table titles, keep
figure captions brief.
In this section if you compare your results with results readily
available in the literature, you need to refer to those sources in
the text, e.g. Smith and Jones (1994), Smith (1998), Smith et al.
(2000). A list of all cited references should be included in the
References section of the report. Including the References
section in the report can increase the grade by as much as 10%.
CONCLUSIONS
In this section, begin with a very short (one to two sentences)
summary of the discussion objective. Then, briefly state your
major findings and conclusions from conducting the discussion
session. You may use either sentences in paragraphs or bullets
to create this section.
Type your Conclusions section here …
REFERENCES
Begin typing your reference list here. Check styling references
for the correct format of how author names, dates, publication
titles, etc. should appear. Pressing the return key after each
entry in the list will advance the cursor to the following
paragraph where the next entry can be automatically placed with
the correct style e.g. References.
