1. Project - Organizational Chart & Stakeholder Relationship

The organizational chart is the standard way to depict reporting

assessing interactions and relationships in an organization or
process. You will be using these tools and other information to
describe the organization and identify the stakeholder
relationships for a health care organization of your choice.
· Narrative (70%) – Based on the organizational chart and
relationship diagram, submit a 5 page narrative, excluding
references, that describes the organization and what you have
learned in this exercise. The paper should be in APA format
with appropriate references. An abstract is not required, and the
title page does not count in the 5 page limit. Following is a
structure you may use for this analysis.

· Brief Background or description of the organization, including
the mission or purpose, number and types of employees, and a
description of the stakeholders/customers. (approximately 1

(or lack of) for meeting the mission and vision of the

Knowledge
The board of directors, management and other leaders in the
healthcare organization should follow the rules and ethics
standards set up across the firm as well as the industry. Clear
boundaries should be established by organizational leaders for
the risks as well as ethical standards. This will help provide a
ground on which employees and other personnel within the
healthcare organization will make correct decisions. During
recruitment and selection as well as retention process, the
organization’s human resource should focus on the evaluation of
character. All employees in a healthcare organization need to
understand what the organization values which should be
integrated into performance evaluation. Additionally, leaders
should be able to show that the image of an organization as well
as its lasting success is important that the short-term benefits
(Yam, Fehr & Reynolds, 2013).
This can be portrayed through the actions of healthcare leaders.
Complaints made by key stakeholders including the patients and
employees should be examined on a regular basis so as to help
determine if the operations of the organization are in alignment
with its values or not. Trust can be established by leaders
through accountability and transparency. Therefore, leaders
should give open access to information concerning the
performance and strategies. Additionally, leaders should make
sure that the promises and dedication made are kept and open
decision making is promoted (Yam, Fehr & Reynolds, 2013).
Comprehension
It is important for leaders to lead by example and provide a
method of reporting any form of ethical violation as well as
reward actions associated with integrity. Ethical culture can
also be installed in a healthcare organization through training.
This should start during the orientation of the employees in
order to show how committed the organization is to promote
ethical conduct. Employees should also be surveyed in order to
give insights on how ethical culture is perceived within the
8. healthcare organization (Sendjaya, 2005).
Application
The concept of morality and ethics can be applied in the
healthcare organizations as well as the whole industry to
promote respect for human life and dignity. Additionally, the
concept can be used to promote fair and ethical practices within
the organization. This can help promote quality healthcare
outcomes as well as reduce medical errors and malpractices.
Additionally, this principle can be used to maintain high-level
discipline across the healthcare industry (ČMELÍKOVÁ, 2017).
Analysis
Ethics of a healthcare organization are usually as good as the
leaders themselves. In order to form an organizational culture
that encourages good ethical conduct and personal
responsibility among employees and other key stakeholders, the
leaders need to act as role models. This way, every employee,
and stakeholder will conduct himself or her based on how the
leaders behave as well (Price, 2015).
Synthesis
Many people assume that ethics is the guidance on individual
behavior which is a fact in most organizations. However, ethics
does not only apply to the individuals within a healthcare
organization but also to the organization itself. This means that
individuals should always take responsibility for their own
behavior. An ethical climate of an organization is important as
it helps improve the morale of employees and stakeholders as
well as enable the organization to keep employees
(PEKAR, 2017).
Evaluation
If the employees see their leaders being less truthful and honest
in health issues they start believing that they can behave in the
same manner. Therefore, leaders should start by understanding
that they have a great influence on the behavior of most
employees within a healthcare organization. Ethical culture
should start with leaders in order to form a solid ethical
foundation (Cliff, 2012).
