He was from a wealthy family (Benaki)which also included his aunt a great
Greek author Penelope Delta. He was educated in an upper class private
school that his uncle had founded, Athens college (Κολλέγιο Αθηνών) His
wife Georgia is from Crete and together they have a daughter and a son,
Lena and Costas
5. Education
He attended the private school, Athens college, which was founded by his
uncle and studied at the Amherst College, and then to Harvard university
where he did his MBA
6. Political Party
Samaras is the leader of the political party called Nea Dimokratia (New
Democracy) or N.D. He won the elections this June.
