1. Do you live in a house with nice and comfortable places to sit such as a couch or chair?
What about the bed you slept in last night? If you lived back in the 1800's, you wouldn't have
been so comfortable because you were either hiding from slave owners or you were a slave.
Being a slave wasn't something you had a choice in, whether you wanted to or not.Slavery was
cruel, rude, and full of racism, it wasnt fair to treat them like this because they didn't have any
freedom Slave Owners gave them poor places to live, and Slave Owners treated them like
animals. To learn more about this interesting topic keep on reading.
If you were a slave back in the 1800's you wouldn't have any freedom. Instead your
freedom would be being out from the break of dawn till the sunset picking cotton and getting cuts
all over your hands. The only way to freedom was through the Underground Railroad but if they
got caught before reaching the South the would get whiped along with the suffrage of other
consequinces to the side of that. Also if any abolitionist got caught helping a slave to freedom
they would be put in slavery and would suffer consequinces also. Slavery was a horrible thing
and it is a good thing that they made slavery ellegal in ALL parts of America.
Slave Owners gave slaves poor places to live in and it wasnt fair for them to be treated
like that. The places slaves had to live in had no bed it was just a hard matress on the floor, no
CHOCOLATE, and ect. The places they lived in were a horror show. They lived in a very dirty
shack, often with just one room and mattress shared by as many people as three to
thirteen. some slaves, generally girls were allowed to live in the house with their master,
but most of the time this was just for them to wait on the mistress, or so the master could
sexually abuse her.
Slaves were also treated like like animals. Slave owners would trade them to other
Slave Owners. It was cruel and mean and there was no reason for them to treat other
humans like this. They would also get beat with a whip if they tried to escape or made a
mistake. Slaves barely ever got to escape to freedom because it was so hard to not get
caught only about 2,000-3,000 slaves escaped to freedom. So it would have been a horror
story for half of the people who were alive back then and were lucky now because about
65% of the world is colored people.
So lets take a quick review over this report Sha'll we. For one salves had no
freedom period. Second slave were given really poor places to live by the Slave
Owners. Then finally third slaves were treated like animals and slave owners really didn't
care about them they just wanted to use them to get the work out of them.So now you
know alote more about slavery and also know that slavery was a huge horror story.
