2. ANALYSIS
• The one of main social groups that we used in our media production was teenage males. The
characters that we are going to focus on is the drug dealers in our production. In other films,
like Anuvahood (2011), they feature characters that are rebellious and are like the stereotypical
teenager. For example: Males dressed in hoodies involved in criminal activity. Another similarity
with our characters and the ones in Anuvahood, is that they both are seen as being trouble and
that at night time, they come to life. For example, they commit crimes and do drugs at night
time, where it is harder for them to be caught. A difference between the characters we have
created and the one’s they have, is that ours do not commit serious crimes like murder, they
just deal drugs. This is shown by the way they act, when they caught in the alley way, as they
are not worrying about being caught for previous offenses.
3. SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES
Similarities
• A similarity between Adam Deacon and
the drug dealer in our production is that
they both have hoodies on.
• They are both trying to keep there heads
down and trying to keep out of trouble.
• They both look like they have done
something wrong through their facial
expressions.
• They also both don’t look very intelligent
and that they have done well at school.
This is because they are out with their
friends a lot and not spending time getting
an education and doing there school
work.
• Roles in the films are similar because
they both commit crimes and try to break
the rules to get some extra money.
Differences
• The differences between Adam Deacon
and the drug dealer in our production, is
that in our production, they are wearing
their hoody's up, but in the Anuvahood,
they are wearing hats.
• This shows that they want to be a normal
teenager during the day and stay out of
trouble, but at night they put their hoody’s
up and cause trouble.

4. CONCLUSION
• In our production we used a stereo type of teenager males being druggies and being violent.
Also, I included the stereo type that youth carry around weapons, e.g. Guns. As a result of
adding this stereo type, it makes the audience feel a sense of acknowledgement, as they have
probably seen this type of stereo type in thriller films before. This effected the audience when
watching the opening sequence, as they will be expecting to see something that they have seen
before in previous opening sequences. This will have a negative effect on the audience as it
means that they might not be as interested as they should be. On the other hand, it could have
a positive effect on them, as they might have seen other one’s and they really like them.
