The third image depicts the world's first adult heart transplant in 1967 in South Africa where the author's great uncle was present, an event that has since saved many lives.
1. MEANINGFULLIMAGES
This image is of a fighter plane from World War 2.I chose this because my great granddad, Roy Peter
Brett was a fighter pilot in the war. He survived and died in his late 90’s. The photo was taken on
September 28 in 1941 by the press.
This is a picture of my old house. I have chosen this because the effort put into it was phenomenal. It
took 5/6 years to build. Within the house was 4 bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, utility, 6 bathrooms,
office, inside pool, cinema room, sauna and large garden. It is located in Avon castle. This image
means a lot to me because It reminds me of how lucky I was to live in a house as unique as it. The
image was captured by Gary DuPlooy and was advertised in newspapers and magazines as a show
home. I will never forget this image as it was a huge part of my life and I wish one day to return to
this house.
This is an image of the world's first adult heart
transplanton December 3, 1967 at the Groote
Schuur Hospital in Cape Town South Africa. This
image means a lot to me because my great uncle
(Mac Robertson) was present at this event. This
picture is important because since then it has
saved many lives.
