Paige Boykin, Midwestern State University, SO, Richmond, Texas, Foster HS
Boykin sported an overall 5-0 record for 17th-ranked Midwestern State as the Mustangs claimed wins in two
of three matches last weekend in San Antonio. The sophomore Richmond claimed singles wins over Incarnate
Word’s Malisa Vatanadilok (6-1, 6-3) at the No. 4 position Friday before rolling to a 6-4, 6-3 win over Texas-
Permian Basin’s Alexandra Maytubby at the No. 3 spot. Boykin teamed with Madeline Schorlemmer to roll
to wins at the No. 3 doubles line against Incarnate Word, St. Mary’s and Texas-Permian Basin. Boykin is 3-1 in
overall singles’ play this season and 4-1 in doubles.

defeated NCAA Division I Incarnate Word 5-2 Friday in San Antonio before splitting matches on Saturday falling
to No. 16-ranked St. Mary’s (Texas) (5-4) before defeating Texas-Permian Basin (8-1)... MSU is ranked 17th
nationally in the ITA national women’s tennis rankings and is second in the South Central Region... The Mustangs
carry a 21-9 overall singles record this season (.700) and is 8-6 (.571) in doubles play... Eight difference players
have recorded singles’ victories for the Mustangs this season...
